Quantum computing, once a concept bound to high-tech labs and complex theories, is now within reach—literally. Researchers at the University of Technology Sydney have developed an affordable, handheld quantum computer emulator called the “Quokka.” Designed to support quantum programming languages, this device offers hands-on experience that was once unimaginable. Eigensystems’ Co-Founder, Chris Ferrie, shares that the goal is clear: to democratize quantum computing by making it accessible to everyone through education. It’s not just a tool; it’s an opportunity to bring quantum computing into classrooms, innovation hubs, and even home studies. This could be a pivotal step toward building a future where quantum literacy is mainstream. Trying to dive deeper into quantum computing and now being faced by the choice of programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, and Cirq). I don't know which one has a better prospect and for what purpose, or is it feasible for my long-term goal. If anyone has an expertise in this field, I would love to learn your thoughts. I really have a lot to catch up. The future is bright for quantum technology.

Given Google's new breakthrough with it's quantum computing chip and it's inevitable use for Artificial Intelligence as well as Cybersecurity applications I wanted to share the following paid opportunity that opens up its application to college students in Q1 2025 (Bookmark this post!). The C2QA QIS 100: Applied Quantum Computing Virtual Program is a three week program that pays $3000 and covers 90 hours of material relevant to math, physics, computer programming, and quantum computing (the logic for which is not covered in most college computer engineering curriculums). Quantum Computing is completely different from the logic that is used in traditional computing chips and can move humanity forwards by centuries in a short period of time. This is a program that I look forward to participating in. Two major applications with quantum chips include 1. rapid drug discovery to cure most diseases and even extend the human lifespan 2. Highly accurate autonomous surgical robots. What a time to be alive!

I am happy to announce that recently I completed an amazing two-semester course on Quantum Computing with The Coding School (TCS). In this course, we delved into the captivating world of quantum mechanics, algorithms, programming in cirq and protocols. From qubits to entanglement, every concept felt like a cosmic adventure. I gained insight into the significant challenges in the field and the ongoing efforts to achieve fault tolerance. Also I'm proud to have achieved full grades, scored perfect marks on all quizzes, and completed every homework assignment. I attended every single lecture and lab session. Capstone Project: The project involved encrypting messages using quantum key distribution. Imagine harnessing the power of entangled particles to secure our communications! 🔐 🙌 Gratitude and Cheers: Massive thanks to Kiera Peltz, TCS’s visionary founder, for creating this platform. Dr. Connie Hsueh, a Derrick Boone, PhD, and @Alexander M. guided us through this mind-bending journey. And let’s not forget Delaney Rice and Gabbie M. — the unsung heroes behind the scenes! 🙏 To my fellow graduates: May your tech adventures continue to defy the classical limits! 🚀🔬 #QuantumComputing #STEM #Education #Tech #QuantumPhysics #Coding #QuantumKeyDistribution #TCS #Grateful #TechJourney #FutureOfComputing
