"CBRN threats and warfare are not a separate, special form of war, but instead a battlefield condition just like rain, snow, darkness, electronic warfare, heat and so on". Units must be equipped and trained to accomplish their combat missions under any battlefield conditions. Whenever CBRN is separated from other functions and training events, we condition our soldiers to regard operations under CBRN conditions as a separate form of warfare. Should we be prepared only for outdated threats from the past, or should we also be prepared for threats and risks that we will encounter in the next five to ten years? NON-COMBATANT EVACUATION OPERATION. I had participated in the Non-combatant evacuation operation conducted from Beirut (Lebanon) to Turkiye on July 26, 2006, as a SAT (SOF) operator. A similar operation has conducted by the Turkish Navy on October 8, 2024, again from Beirut (Lebanon) with 2000 civilians and ships belonging to the Naval Forces. The public opinion/world opinion and the Press take beautiful and happy images at the end of the operation. In fact, there are serious and large organizations, responsibilities and sacrifices to achieve this result. NON-COMBATANT EVACUATION OPERATIONS, these types of operations can be more complicated than expected and estimated. There are many checklists that must be planned in the operation area or tactical field. The state of will perform the Non-combatant evacuation operation must coordinate well with the relevant States to insert its own war Ships, Aircrafts, Vehicles and Personnel into the war/front zone for peace purposes. After the permissions are obtained and the coordination is made, the Ships, Aircrafts, Vehicles and Personnel are sent to the evacuation point. The real critical situations and dangers of the operation begin here. 1. The chaos experienced/possible while hundreds of civilians are directed to the evacuation vehicles. (Backgrounds of some people in the crowd are unknown and partially safe!!!!!) 2. Epidemic diseases and injuries/deaths in the crowd. 3. NBC leaks, 4. Air attacks (Aircraft, Drones, UAV) 5. Asymmetric attacks and threats that will be created/may be create by terrorists who have infiltrated the crowd or from outside. 6. Health services and food support ARTICLE 5. UXO is unexploded ordnance 💣🧨The most commonly used definition of UXO is: “Explosive ordnance that has been primed, fused, armed, or otherwise prepared for use and used in an armed conflict. It may have been fired, dropped, launched or projected and should have exploded but failed to do so.” The term UXO also includes: 
“Explosive ordnance that has not been used during an armed conflict, that has been left behind or dumped by a party to an armed conflict, and which is no longer under control of the party that left it behind or dumped it. Abandoned explosive ordnance may or may not have been primed, fused, armed or otherwise prepared for use.” UXO can range in size from small arms ammunition to large unexploded bombs weighing more than 2000 kg (unexploded aerial delivered bombs are often referred to as unexploded bombs or UXBs’) and all have the potential to cause significant harm to those who encounter them. They can be found on the surface but are more usually buried underground with no surface markers to indicate their presence. 🧪M60 HD(Distilled Mustard) is now in the mobile ordnance library🧪 The M60 HD Mustard 105mm Howitzer Round is a U.S.-manufactured chemical munition designed for use with 105mm howitzers. This round is filled with HD (distilled sulfur mustard), a blistering agent used in chemical warfare. Upon detonation, the round disperses mustard gas in the target area, causing severe chemical burns to skin, eyes, and respiratory tracts. The M60 HD round was designed for area denial and incapacitation, rather than immediate lethality, and was employed primarily for its long-lasting effects on both personnel and terrain.
