Through the Brazilian Furniture Project, around 30 companies and 40 Brazilian designers participated in events promoted by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil at Salone del Mobile.Milano, the most anticipated event in the global furniture and design calendar. In 2024, iSaloni attracted a qualified audience of more than 370,800 visitors (20.2% more than last year) from about 200 countries, who visited the Brazilian Furniture booths daily, spread across three different pavilions at the event. In this setting, Brazilian brands left their mark as references in quality and originality, leading many trends that are gaining traction worldwide. Not surprisingly, the project’s participation not only resulted in significant commercial partnerships for these companies but also brought recognition to our country. In such a diverse and vibrant environment, one of the trends that was undoubtedly most observed at this year's Milan Design Week was the increasing use of natural materials, reflecting a broader movement towards sustainability and authenticity in living spaces. This movement resonates very well with what Brazilian industry and design have to offer. For more details on Brazil's participation at iSaloni 2024, visit: https://lnkd.in/dpWRuw2Z

PES-Architects’ interior team visited the Habitare Helsinki fair this week to check out what’s new in 2024 and catch up with the design community. Here’s our takeaways: The themes that stood out were softness, warmth, a longing for cosiness, and earthiness. Contrasts were introduced by angular geometric shapes and steel and glass surfaces. The Japandi trend continues strong. Colours are also becoming more introspective and organic, as predicted in NCS colour trends. Human, earthy hues of brown, red, and purple will rise in popularity, and we definitely saw this at the fair. We also reflected on the reasons behind the trends. Is there a connection to the uncertain global situation? Interior design trends suggest an overall turning inward, seeking a sense of security and grounding. Environmental issues and natural balance are also addressed, with sustainable development and green values highlighted year after year to increase awareness. There’s always a few bold and colourful exhibition stands, but there was still plenty of wood and natural materials to be seen. Other trends included the use of industrial by-products and minimalism. The general economic downturn was also evident at the fair. The overall impression was relatively subdued, with little daring flamboyance. #habitare2024 #helsinkdesignweek #interiordesign #interiorarchitecture #interiordesigntrends
