Find below a quick & easy ‘favourability framework’ (that I came across) for assessing the attractiveness of Offshore Wind development across projects and countries. At 3.6/5.0 (as the weighted average), India’s current TN 4GW sea-bed tender fairs very well, given that its still in the early stage.

World Engineering day is today and has a focus on sustainability, so lets talk about windfarms. Windfarms are an excellent example of amazing engineering. I have choosen to purchase part of a wind farm to be sustainable and help with energy costs! Some fun facts about windfarms 💨 An average turbine blade is about 200 ft long 💨 Offshore wind speeds tend to be faster and more consistent than on land 💨 The wind energy sector can generate employment for four million people globally by 2030. See a video below of the windfarm development I have invested in from a few months back. https://lnkd.in/eKTFrDhY

Potentially the largest offshore wind farm in the US has been given the go-ahead by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), clearing one of the obstacles to development. Onshore construction activities will begin as agreements to finalise the project with NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) are negotiated. #Offshore #offshorerenewables #offshoreenergy #offshorewind #windfarms #sunrisewind #marinecivils #windindustry #usoffshore

⚡ Spotted! During the #BrazilOffshoreWindSummit, our Head of Business Development for Brazil and South America at OW Ocean Winds, Rafael P., was featured in the below Reuters article, as well as epbr video interview! The recent article from Reuters shows how OW Ocean Winds is actively engaged in preparatory activities for offshore wind in the country, including environmental and geological studies, community engagement, and partnerships with both public and private sectors! This showcases OW Ocean Winds' unweaving commitment to the development of sustainable offshore wind energy in #Brazil. 🌬 And not only that! Rafael P. delves during the interview with epbr into the opportunities and challenges of the sector in #Brazil, emphasizing the critical role of the approval of regulatory frameworks, a crucial step to ensure predictability, security of investments in the sector and pave the way for the first auction of marine exploration areas. 🌊 With nearly 100 offshore wind projects in the pipeline, Brazil holds immense potential for clean energy expansion, the collaboration between government agencies, industry stakeholders, and investors is instrumental in driving the offshore wind energy agenda forward, as well as the approval of the regulatory framework. As we embark on this transformative journey, OW Ocean Winds remains committed to sustainable growth, environmental stewardship, and contributing to Brazil's clean energy transition. Together, let's harness the power of offshore wind to build a greener, more resilient future for generations to come. 🤝 Read the article here ➡ and watch the full interview below ⬇️! 📰 https://lnkd.in/dKw3ngkt 🎥 https://lnkd.in/dW_brQ2a #ProudtobeOW #offshorewind #renewablenergy

Under the heading "North Europe Offshore Wind Port Alliance" we will highlight the significant gap between European Offshore Wind ambitions and availability of suitable port facilities. One of several elements to solve this, is closer cooperation between individual ports as well as between the port community and other stakeholders, such as developers, OEM’s and T&I’s 🤝 🌍 The talk will discuss the port challenges and provide innovative approach to address those seeking to engage the entire value chain for offshore wind and encourage the urgency of tackling the common challenges that ports represent. 📅 19.06.2024 🕐 13:45 📍 Global Offshore Wind 👋 david ottesen and Kristine Edvinson #RUKGOW24
