Our CEO Ester Baiget has been appointed to the Board of United Nations Global Compact   Last week, UN Secretary-General António Guterres appointed new Board members for UN Global Compact. Our CEO Ester Baiget is joining the Board, and she responded to her new commitment:   "It is an incredible honor to be joining such an inspiring leaders community worldwide. I am excited about further driving collaboration across society, business, and governments to build a better future for all," she said.   UN Global Compact is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative for responsible business action. Novonesis has been a proud member for over two decades.   Sanda Ojiambo, CEO & Executive Director of the UN Global Compact, commented on the announcement: "The appointment of these new Board members marks a continuation of our work to drive corporate sustainability worldwide. 📌There is no way back from the Green Deal but need to get the narrative right. 📌Need to put people first: More Europeans must feel the benefits of the green transition. Need to find better ways to measure wellbeing.

The report details the critical role #NonExecutiveDirectors and #Boards have in managing and mitigating nature-related risks and seizing opportunities for #NaturePositive approaches to drive value.
