Ordering groceries in 10 minutes. Now, pasta, rajma chwal in 10 minutes. In today’s hyper-competitive market of instant delivery, dominated by giants like #Zomato, #Swiggy, #Blinkit,#Zepto a new player, #Swish, has emerged with a unique twist: delivering freshly cooked meals within 10 minutes. This business model not only addresses the need for speed but also carves a distinct niche, standing apart from traditional delivery platforms that serve as intermediaries between restaurants and customers. Swish's approach is remarkable. In an era where convenience, we consumers demand everything at their fingertips, it’s a game-changer. Imagine a group of friends arriving at a flat, hungry and unwilling to cook or wait. Swish comes to their rescue However, innovation often comes at a cost. However, 10 minute meal delivery raises an eyebrow regarding the freshness and quality of quick meals. It’s logical to assume that certain ingredients must be pre-cooked or preserved to meet the turnaround times. This raises concerns about the use of preservatives and the nutritional value of the food delivered. The 10-minute delivery model is undoubtedly impressive, but it might just be the beginning. Startups are constantly evolving to solve problems. It’s only a matter of time before another disruptor enters the market, addressing the gap between speed and the delivery of truly fresh, nutritious meals. Swish’s innovation highlights the possibilities in the food tech space, but as the market evolves, so will consumer expectations. Perhaps the next revolution will be delivering not just fast food, but fast and healthy. #fooddelivery #hyperlocal #startup #10mindelivery #zomato #blinkit #swiggy #zepto #Swish #quickcommerce

Before being a food entrepreneur, I am a foodie myself. So is my family. And we are strictly vegetarians. They always refuse to order online, because: a) They won't eat from a restaurant that also cooks non-veg food, and b) they know that the veg food being ordered would be delivered in a bag, that can have non-veg food too. And this was unsettling for them. A big shoutout to Zomato Founder Deepinder Goyal, for introducing ‘Pure Veg Fleet’ for delivering vegetarian food. Zomato will now offer a new feature in the app, wherein customers can order from pure veg restaurants and ensure that the delivery is done by a team, that only delivers veg food. This teaches us at PinkAprons, so many aspects about running a food business: Incubating dietary preferences, and also creating a new market, with one single stroke! However, earlier, Zomato had decided to place a green dress for this veg fleet, and a red dress for the non-veg fleet, which, I am sure, is discrimination. Societies and security guards could have discriminated between riders wearing different colors of dress, and this could have created a rift. Thankfully, this differentiation via dress color has been scraped, but the concept remains alive. Innovation and disruption are the cornerstones of PinkAprons, and we appreciate and acknowledge this move as a great learning experience. What are your views on this decision by Zomato? #NOM #Sharingpersonalviews

Shouldn’t Zomato, Swiggy, and Top Restaurant Brands be more transparent with us? As consumers, we trust them with our health and our wallets 👝 —But are these companies, along with major restaurant brands, truly transparent about what’s on your plate? 🍽 The Ethical Dilemma 🤔 Restaurants and food companies aren’t just cutting corners; they’re cutting out our right to informed choices. Here’s how: 💸 Profit Over Transparency: Many restaurants—even on popular apps—are swapping real ingredients for cheaper fillers, keeping consumers in the dark about what’s on their plates. 🏷️ Vague Labeling: “Healthy” options abound, but how often do food apps verify these claims? Murky labeling and hidden substitutes make it nearly impossible to know what you’re really eating. Shouldn’t these companies be ethically bound to ensure the integrity of their listings? 🌍 A Matter of Trust: Ethical practices aren’t just nice to have—they’re essential for trust. By hiding ingredient swaps, restaurants and delivery platforms prioritize profits over transparency, risking consumer health and confidence. What can you do about it? 1️⃣ Ask questions before ordering—many restaurants will disclose their ingredients if asked. 2️⃣ Choose brands that prioritize honest sourcing and nutritional quality. 3️⃣ Demand more accountability from food apps like Zomato and Swiggy to screen for transparency in their listings. Stay tuned for the final post in this series—where I’ll dive into practical tips to help you make empowered food choices. 🌱🔍 Follow Vignesh Jayaprakash to not miss out. 🔁 Repost this to spread awareness among your connections. #ZomatoControversy #Zomato #Swiggy #Restaurants #EthicalPractices #RighttoInformation #FoodTransparency #HealthyFood #NutritionAdvice #Nutritionist #Dietitian

#Linkedin Business strategy in 10 minutes Following some branded companies' style of working and professional approach. With the help of micro-warehouses, they are located closer to the customers for quick delivery; this is called a hyper-local business model, where companies engage themselves with local delivery partners or suppliers through retail stores and different warehouse outlets. With rising demand for groceries and other items, common people prefer to order their products through online applications or portals to save their precious time. Food items are getting delivered through various portals within minutes. #Blinkit 10-minute delivery #Zepto 10minute delivery #Linkedin #Blinkit #Zepto #Food #Fooddelivery #India #Foodlover #Tasty #Fooditems #App #Portals #Foddie #Online #Onlinefood #Taste #Lifestyle #Coffee #Pizza #Foodblogger #Blogger #Business #Businessstrategy #Businessleaders #Leader #Leadership #Enterpreneur #Share #Follow

Not sorry to object, but this is clearly a #modern and absolutely #unscientific format of #untouchability practice. Why should delivery boxes be different? What is the psyche to colour code that difference? Where #restaurants seal-pack #foods and nobody is expected to scoop out the spillover (if any at all) from the delivery box and eat it, are we not promoting untouchability, just like KFC did, where veg and non-veg "do not mix"? Is this not a #secessionist #marketingstrategy, creating further #socialdivide in our complex #society? We are a #nation of #unityindiversity. And a common #deliverybox for all kinds of food is as much symbolic of that #unity as much practical- in terms of #branding and #cost #economics.
Profitable food delivery platform Zomato has introduced a new delivery fleet specifically for orders from purely vegetarian restaurants. This move comes in response to feedback from India's large vegetarian population, which is particularly concerned about how their food is cooked and handled. The "Pure Veg Mode" will feature a selection of restaurants that only serve vegetarian food, ensuring that meals from non-vegetarian restaurants will not be delivered in the same green delivery boxes used by this dedicated fleet.
