HERO Mobilizer Kiki Boreel, from the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Circle, recently spoke at the Threads of Change: Systemic Transformation of the Textile Sector event hosted by the UN Environment Programme! 🌍👗 Highlighting the urgent need for a systems change and an accelerated transition towards a sustainable textile value chain, Kiki emphasized the importance of circular economy and just transition. 🗣️ “We produce way too much, and we need to drastically reduce this. We have enough clothes to dress six generations, yet cheap, low-quality garments keep flooding in. Two solutions: living wages for garment workers and transparency from brands on production volumes.” Let's support policies that prioritize climate, nature, and zero pollution goals! 💚 Join us in subscribing to the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Circle via HERO at https://lnkd.in/enKPAxpn to support the work of Kiki Boreel, Rachel Castillo, Sara Dubbeldam, Claudia A. and Rashi Agarwal Favier in holding fast fashion companies accountable.
