In a world grappling with the environmental impact of fast fashion, ThredUp stands out as a leader in sustainability. The company's third annual impact report highlights its impressive achievements in environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts in 2023. ThredUp has made significant strides in promoting a circular economy by processing over 200 million used fashion items, recirculating 2.2 million items through its Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS) platform and diverting 100% of unsold products from landfills. The report showcases partnerships with brands like Athleta and Tommy Hilfiger and initiatives such as planting 800 trees through the Trees for the Future program. By recycling 111,000 pounds of material into decking products and advocating for progressive textile policies, ThredUp is paving the way for a more sustainable fashion industry.
