The Power Of An Accountability Partner When I started at Tech4Dev I had no idea what to expect. I was just like every other optimistic student looking forward to transition to tech and equip myself with a life changing skill When classes started, we were shared into study groups and I met Chukwufumnanya Isichei I was drawn to her zeal, commitment and proactive approach to assignments and projects And like me, she's also a mother of two children who combines the tech dream with motherhood In no time, we became "class buddies" and were always communicating about anything and everything 😂 She introduced me to different Product Management communities where I started my volunteering journey and learned new skills We shared resources with each other, studied together, and encouraged each other We pushed each other through tough times, we laughed together, ranted together, and literally did everything together It was giving "Soul sisters" and we were fond of teasing each other with the term "Performerrrrrr" 😂 The highlight for me was when we both became team leads of our respective capstone projects and had to contribute to an open-source project at the same time. It was tough and hectic, but we had each other, so it was easy to dive into the "lion's den" knowing that there's someone who genuinely has your back and will cheer you on We became the proverbial "accountability partners" but more than anything, we became sisters The Women Techsters Fellowship was one of the hardest things I had to do in my life, but it was easier because of Naya To the most interesting part, we both got jobs at the same company, and now we get to work together. I'm thrilled to work with her on real life projects and make an impact in the world of tech together.
