This is your last chance - Voting closes tomorrow! What are the 3 biggest challenges faced by Christian fundraisers? Take ONE MINUTE to answer this ONE QUESTION poll: https://lnkd.in/dRnzq_Yi Last year, we conducted an open-ended survey of faith-based fundraisers to hear about your obstacles to success. We heard from so many of you with deep, strategic thinking. With those thoughts in mind, plus latest observations over the past 12 months, now it is time to select the new BIGGEST THREE challenges of the moment. These 3 challenges will become important themes at Faith & Fundraising: Myrtle Beach 2024: https://lnkd.in/ewK6giPC At the conference, we will host an Innovation Room where we will have brainstorms, discussions, and experience-sharing. We will compile best practices and ideas to test. We will wrestle with these issues TOGETHER and come out of the conference better prepared and better supported. So, what are the 3 biggest challenges? Vote now to make your voice heard. Share the poll widely. We want to hear from you. Voting is open through Friday, February 16. https://lnkd.in/dRnzq_Yi

So, a few weeks ago, I posted about how my phone was being blown up by an insane amount of texts from the Democrats begging for money in embarrassingly groveling ways (https://lnkd.in/eGY7rtWE). I knew that I couldn't be the only one so I was excited to see cybersecurity researcher extraordinaire Sean Gallagher post about the same thing on his very excellent Packetrat blog (https://lnkd.in/eb7hxRf8). However, rather than complaining -- he is a professional cyber-sleuth, after all-- Mr. Gallagher looked into who was behind the texts and discovered some pretty upsetting information, not the least of which being that one of the groups responsible for the texts only donated about one percent of what they raised to the Harris campaign, with the rest going to what can only charitably (pun intended!) defined as "overhead." Nice. As my wife Claire Carton pointed out when I told her, "Maybe it's really the Republicans who were behind those texts." Good point. Sigh. I didn't want to bring up the election again (my gag reflex still needs about 4 years or so to recover), but I wanted to direct y'all to Mr. Gallaghers excellent look at, as he calls them, "Grifter Action Committees" behind the veritable tsunami of fundraising texts many of us were unfortunate to receive. It's definitely worth a read. One final thing. I find making music to be therapeutic when I'm annoyed, so I penned this little ditty using the very excellent Suno.com AI using nothing but lines from a bunch of the texts I received (and a few editorial asides, too). It won't change anything about the outcome of the last election, but I thought that some of you might find it amusing. Enjoy...and wear headphones if you're in an open office. It's kinda loud. https://lnkd.in/eJF-Hi57 #branding, #scams, #cyber, #humor, #anybodyincanadawanttohireme

So, here are the texts I've received from my beloved Democratic party (and associated entities) just this afternoon. And this is just today...and doesn't include any from this morning or overnight. So I've gotta ask: who thinks that bombarding their supporters with this volume of texts is a good idea? It's not like being irritated by this is going to make me change my mind about who I'm voting for -- go, Harris and Walz! -- but, come on, folks! Some of these are coming from states I don't live in and others just sound like they're coming from clingy stalkers. Lucky for them I'm tolerant and committed to the Democrats, but I can imagine that someone on the fence might just be driven over the edge to the other side (or at least think more than twice about ever donating again). Talk about brand suicide! Oh, and many of them seem 1) impossible to unsubscribe from or 2) coming from random numbers, so I can't block them. Nice. Get it together. Please.

We’re So Close—Just 25 More to Go!** Right now, we’re at 75 donors, just 25 away from reaching our goal of 100—and I need your help to get there! To make this happen, I’m asking you to reach out to those who believe in you the most: your favorite cousin, your best friend, the auntie who loves you, your pastor, your gossip buddy—anyone who would support you because they believe in what you believe in. It’s simple: 1. **Send a text or make a quick call.** 2. **Ask for a favor**—have them give what they can. 3. **Encourage them to tell a friend**—whether it’s a best friend or a gossip buddy—and share on social media. https://lnkd.in/eQkU-X4c Together, we can make this happen. Thank you so much for your support and belief in this cause! With love and optimism, Mayo

dim. 22 sept. à 09 h 03 Today is the day Joseph -- If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to make your next donation to the DNC, we’re here to tell you that today is that day. You might be asking yourself, "Why should I donate today?" Well, there are reasons you hear about all the time: Defending our democracy, protecting our freedoms, and defeating Trump and his allies once and for all. But there’s also a very practical reason: We have very real fundraising goals we need to reach. The truth is that our goals are not arbitrary. We must meet our fundraising goals in order to reach voters nationwide who will decide the outcome of this election. And we are rapidly approaching our last end-of-quarter deadline before Election Day, which will be our biggest and most important fundraising deadline to date. Your $7 contribution today will go a long way in reaching our goals and ensuring we have the resources we need to reach those undecided voters and win big up and the ballot in November. So we’re asking: Will you make another donation to the DNC today? We’ll put your donation right to work as Americans begin to cast their votes across the country. Thank you for your support. We need you now more than ever. The Democrats

Political ads have enraged me. Political ads have also inspired me. As someone who has managed both political ads and political candidates, I can tell you that despite the frustration (that we’re ALL feeling) with the top of the ticket, tomorrow isn’t just about the President of the United States. Tomorrow will determine how you and your family’s lives change, most quickly and closely to home, whether you’re aware of it or not. Tomorrow will determine your state governor's office, state attorney general, (handling serious statewide criminal prosecutions) state house of representatives, state senate, county commissioners, local school board members, and perhaps most importantly, state supreme court justices - for obvious reasons... In Indiana, I know many of these people personally and feel compelled to remind you that they don’t have multi-million dollar budgets. In fact most of them have sacrificed their lives for years to travel to every corner of their districts, connect with citizens and raise small dollar donations. They've struggled to keep their heads above water just to have a shot in this crazy, f****ed up, money-in-politics world. They are passionate about people, not power, and need you to show up tomorrow, for the #DownBallot. They are army veterans, adoptive parents, non-profit directors, healthcare professionals, pilots, religious and non religious, concerned citizens who deeply care for the communities we all deserve to live in. If you need a refresher on exactly who will be on the ballot in your district, simply visit www.vote.org and type in your address. And if you'd like some insight on particular candidates, feel free to DM me. :) #ShowUp4TheNonMillionairs #AdvertisingForGood
