Up and at 'em: Recently, Apple announced it's working on a fix to its alarm clock feature after multiple reports said it failed to go off as expected. (“So my fake excuse for being late is actually plausible?”)

I'm excited to share an important blog post discussing a troubling situation involving Apple and its courier services. In this post, we explore a case where two MacBooks may have been stolen during transit, highlighting the lack of support from Apple in resolving this matter. This incident raises questions about customer service and accountability in the tech industry.
I invite you to read more about this situation and share your thoughts on how companies can better protect their customers in similar scenarios.

Have you heard that Apple will soon start enforcing new privacy-related rules? 🤨
Maybe Apple has even sent you emails about it? 📬
But you're not really sure what these requirements mean? 🤔
Here's a quick recap 🍿
One thing I learned this #BlackFriday was that Apple quietly upgraded their MBAs to 16GB RAM *for free* 🤯, a very rare move by Apple that would otherwise usually cost $200 more to upgrade from 8GB to 16GB. Apple’s clearly gearing up for their AI takeover with #AppleIntelligence 🚀
But here’s the catch: LLMs are memory hogs 🐷. They gobble up RAM *and* SSDs. And let’s not forget about those pesky pictures -- embeddings for a picture is worth *way more than* a thousand words stored on local disks🙈.
So, while the free RAM upgrade is nice, a 16GB/256GB config is still a bit of a tight squeeze 🤏.
Or you need a bigger iCloud subscription 💸? Apple is playing the long game here. Give with one hand, take with the other.

How do you calculate the price of a new product? 🤔
1. Adjust for inflation
2. Do it again
3. Add $200
4. PROFIT! 💰
Jokes aside (this video is hilarious)... if that were true...
... Apple wouldn’t be as successful as it is today.
Apple's approach to pricing seems second to none.
Not having an internal perspective, here’s my view:
1. Create value for the product.
2. Communicate that value and build a community around it.
3. Calculate willingness-to-pay for products.
4. Understand the features and bundles / share of wallet
5. Deliver the prices / manage discounts effectively.
Of course, this is just a high-level overview, and there are many articles that decipher the process, but in principle these are the steps that any company should follow
As Tim Cook once said, "We never had an objective to sell a low-cost phone. Our primary objective is to sell a great phone and provide a great experience, and we figured out a way to do it at a lower cost."

I saw this on Reddit. Apparently Apple Care Plus has a limit to the "accidental damage" that they cover. Dude got into a car accident, and this was the result.
Apple rejected his claim and pointed to the small print in their TOS, which indicates there's a limit to how much accidental damage they'll cover.
You'd never know from their Apple Care Plus sales page:

This is why we need better consumer protection laws. You shouldn't have to read a 14 page / small font terms of service document written in legalese to understand what's covered on a protection plan.
I envision a world where companies are required to explain their TOS as simply as they do their sales pages.
The average 5th grader should be able to understand a TOS.
Why? Because 54% of Americans read below a 6th grade reading level.
Yet it takes a law degree to understand what you're signing up for nowadays.
Despicable Apple.
