The 'Take-Make-Waste' system is one thing to put in the bin! 🚮 In May, Kantar became official partners of Ellen MacArthur Foundation. I have just completed my first training with them and that filled my cup 🤩 I feel inspired play our part in scaling circular economy solutions. The solutions to get ourselves out of the climate and environmental crisis exist. We will play our part in supporting brands to make these changes and get the rewards for it when they do. 💪 https://lnkd.in/d7jMDG9E

Want to make a real impact that grows over time? Start with a tree 🌳 With the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) coming into play, it’s no longer just about ticking boxes. It's about taking real, measurable action that aligns with your core values. As the CSRD requires more transparency and accountability, why not make tree gifting part of your strategy? A tree isn’t just a gift, it’s a living symbol of your company’s commitment to the environment, your stakeholders, and the future. By gifting trees, you're not only making the world a little greener, but you’re also making your business more aligned with the CSRD guidelines, showing you’re serious about sustainability beyond the paperwork. And let’s be honest, it's a powerful way to strengthen relationships with clients, employees, or partners, while contributing to a healthier planet 🌍 #CSRD #CSR #developmentgoals #unitednations #giftatree #sustainablegifting

The reason nearly everybody gets B Corp is not because it actually improves their business processes: it is because it's a good marketing tool. My biggest issue isn't necessarily with B Corp per se, it is with anything that purports to tell people a black and white message: if you have this stamp, you're a good company. The truth is, we're not good. Nobody's good. After the recent case of Havas being stripped of its #BCorp status for doing business with Shell, I spoke to Melodie Michel from CSO Futures on how it is key for Chief Sustainability Officers to understand what the process of becoming a B Corp entails – and even more crucially, what B Corp certification is and isn't. 🔗 Read the full article on the link below 👇 - #Sustainability #SustainabilityReporting #SustainabilityStandards

I'm sick of all the greenhushing complaints. Eco-marketing isn't going anywhere, but 'ego-marketing' is over, thankfully. Thanks to Contagious for letting me have a rant in this article below! #greenwash #greenhushing #sustainablemarketing #greenmarketing
'Far too much sustainability and purpose marketing over the last decade has been a cynical attempt to burnish brands’ reputations. This kind of self-centred greenwash was ego-marketing, not eco-marketing — and to that I say, good riddance.' Futerra's Solitaire Townsend on the three factors forcing brands to rein in their grandiose sustainability claims in 2024. https://cont.gs/4arkyJd

Interesting read on the concept of greenhushing referring to the deliberate downplaying of an organisation’s sustainability initiatives. Not everything needs to be shouted about, do the right thing and let your actions do the communicating for you.
