📝 Adaptive Messaging based on the Age of Information in VANETs In their paper, Jordi Marias-i-Parella (i2CAT), Oluwaseun Ajayi, and Yu Cheng (Illinois Institute of Technology) address collisions in cooperative awareness messages (CAMs) within 802.11p vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). 📶 They introduce an adaptive CAM messaging algorithm that utilises the age of information (AoI) to optimise messaging frequency based on mobility status and network congestion.
