Why Procurement Inspires Me 🌟 Procurement is more than purchasing, it’s about creating value, driving efficiency, and building meaningful partnerships. Every day brings complex challenges, pushing me to think creatively, especially when working with some people who may focus more on self-preservation. This career doesn’t just shape my work, it influences my personal life too. I find myself using procurement techniques, like technical evaluation and value analysis, even when making personal purchases to ensure I’m getting the best quality and value. If you’re in procurement or considering it, know that it’s a fulfilling journey where you can drive change, navigate unique dynamics, and shape both your organization’s future and your own perspective. It’s not easy work, and managing multiple priorities and complex subjects can be challenging, but the real satisfaction lies in mastering how to bring it all together. #Procurement #Quality #CostSaving #Challenges #Sustainability #SupplyChain

Hi everyone! As you know, procurement is my passionate work routine, so I often have different ideas and thoughts about this topic 😊But, I understand that my view on this function may be subjective, and I'd like to obtain a better understanding of real market. I value your opinions, therefore I'd like to ask you some questions and learn more about the influence of procurement function across different companies. · How often do you interact with procurement teams? Are these relationships essential to your work routine? · What are some of the challenges and benefits you've experienced while working with procurement? I might have more questions, but will keep them for another round:) Feel free to leave a comment or contact me. I'm looking forward to an open discussion. #procurement #sales #cooperation

Anyone can do my job, but No One can be Me ! Some may think this sounds arrogant, but it’s not. In Procurement, staying relevant and impactful means embracing what makes you unique….. ........and not just in your skills, but in the relationships you build and the way you approach every challenge. Anyone can follow a process or a strategy…seriously…… ...... it’s your individuality, your ability to connect with stakeholders, colleagues, your network, and your proactive engagement with suppliers that truly sets you apart. To thrive and make a lasting impact, you must brand yourself within and outside the Procurement function. You need to be seen as trusted advisor, strategic thinker, and problem-solver who deeply understand both your company’s needs and the value that you, your procurement organization and your suppliers bring to the table. Here’s what I believe is needed to stay relevant, build your brand, and make your mark in Procurement: 1. Know your stakeholders and speak their language: show that you’re not just an asset to Procurement but a value driver for the entire organization. Understand their goals and tailor your approach to add value to THEIR objectives. 2. Forge real partnerships with suppliers: being just another Procurement Professional doesn’t cut it. Be the ONE they remember….the one who engages, listens, and works collaboratively to find innovative solutions. Suppliers should feel that working with you is an advantage….and vice versa of course 3. Leverage your strengths, especially soft skills: data and processes are essential, but they’re not everything. Communication, collaboration, adaptability, continuous learning, strategic foresight, and empathy are what makes your role indispensable. In the end, a true Procurement professional isn’t simply a role; it’s a brand, a unique approach, and a trusted partner within the business. So yes, anyone might do the job, but only you can bring your unique combination of insight, relationships, and vision to it. ❓ What are you doing (today) to make yourself an indispensable asset in Procurement?

These are the best questions I get asked, when I'm approaching procurement professionals about a new role: ➡️ What are the main challenges? ➡️ How is supplier performance evaluated and managed? ➡️ What are the typical procurement projects I'll be working on? ➡️ What technologies and tools does the company currently use for procurement? ➡️ What are the KPIs for this role? ➡️ Are there opportunities for professional development? ➡️ Can you describe the team I would be working with? ➡️ How is success measured? I'm finding that those in procurement have an increasing amount of expectations on the role. The best ones I'm working with are really qualifying the position before being put forward.
