Be Ruthless to the Things That Don’t Matter One of the greatest illusions of modern work culture is the belief that productivity lies in doing more. We overload our schedules, respond to every email, attend every meeting, and tackle every task with equal urgency. We say “yes” not just to others but also to ourselves—yes to distractions, yes to fleeting impulses, yes to emotions that drain our mental bandwidth. Yet, as Seneca reminds us, a life lived without discernment is a life wasted on trivialities. The Cost of Saying “Yes” Every time you agree to something unimportant, you give up time and energy that could go toward what truly matters. It’s not just tasks—it’s the overthinking, distractions, and drama that drain your focus. The Power of “No” Learning to say no can feel uncomfortable, but it’s a game-changer. A polite “I can’t take this on right now” or “This doesn’t align with my priorities” sets boundaries and protects your energy. Focus on What Counts Ask yourself: • Does this move me closer to my goals? • Is this the best use of my time? If not, let it go. Prioritize tasks, projects, and relationships that add real value to your life. Take Back Control 1. Audit Your Day: Cut low-value tasks and distractions. 2. Set Priorities: Focus on 2-3 important goals daily. 3. Detach from Emotions: Let go of frustration and guilt—they’re just as draining. Saying no isn’t selfish; it’s smart. Free up space for what matters most and live intentionally. Be ruthless now, so you can own your time and your life.
Let go of the anger, free your soul. Sarshar Sayyed #LetGoOfAnger #InnerPeace #NoMoreAnger #HealingJourney #ChoosePeace #LetItGo #PeaceOverAnger #ReleaseTheAnger #CalmOverChaos #ForgivenessIsFreedom

I don't usually create posts like this but while this video raises some interesting points, I think in many ways, it is perpetuating the outdated myth that the Neanderthal were somehow inferior to H. sapiens. It also emphasizes that Neanderthals were "apex predators" and suggests that this status may have contributed to their eventual downfall. Additionally, according to the video, changing climates led to the extinction of megafauna, upon which Neanderthals were heavily dependent, and this ultimately caused their demise. Finally, it argues that waves of H. sapiens migrating into Eurasia from Africa may have "out-competed" them. However, I think this narrative oversimplifies the situation. Neanderthals are believed to have lived primarily in wooded areas, where they had access to diverse resources and where their ambush-style hunting strategies were most effective. While they certainly ventured into other regions, including coastal areas, forests seem to have been their preferred environment. Moreover, the major megafauna species that Neanderthals hunted were still thriving around 40,000 BCE, when the last known Neanderthals existed. This makes it unlikely that widespread extinctions significantly impacted them. If anything, it was the harsh and perilous conditions of their existence that posed the greatest threat. The idea that Neanderthals were "out-competed" by H. sapiens is also questionable. Archaeological evidence suggests that various human species living in Eurasia used similar technologies and consumed similar diets, with local resources shaping these patterns more than the species themselves. While it's true we have no direct evidence of Neanderthals using bows and arrows, I don't think this implies a lack of capability. Neanderthals were highly skilled and resourceful, as evidenced by their medical knowledge, use of plants, and ability to care for the sick and injured. They created three-ply twisted twine, manufactured glues, tars, oils, and dyes, knapped stone, hafted blades to handles, made throwing spears, cured and worked animal hides, and much more. These achievements suggest they were fully capable of developing more advanced hunting tools if they had a need for them. In environments where persistence hunting or long-range weapons weren’t practical, why invest the effort? To me, it seems more plausible that Neanderthals (and other human species) were gradually absorbed into populations of H. sapiens. While this process may not always have been peaceful, the need for cooperation in such challenging environments would have encouraged groups to work together. The video also fails to point out that the H. sapiens who first came into Eurasia are also extinct. Today, everyone on Earth carries some Neanderthal DNA, a testament to our shared legacy. It’s possible that the "hybrid vigor" resulting from this genetic blending has been a key factor in humanity’s long-term survival. https://lnkd.in/exbv-VPG
