The AI Policy and Governance Working Group (https://lnkd.in/et9tMrpY) responded to the US Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration's request for comment on open foundation AI models. We note the many benefits of access to open foundation models, including for transparency and equity. Over the coming period, companies and governments will have to assess whether their AI systems fall within the scope of the AI Act and determine what the consequences of that are. Stay tuned for the final publication and entry into force. How will it impact your company or business?
