AMD affects nearly 200 million people and is the leading cause of vision loss in those over 50. Currently, there is no cure, only treatments that slow the disease. SupraVision is creating a retinal implant to replace damaged tissue and restore vision. Earlier today, I advocated for developing hyperpolarized NMR applications that genuinely benefit end users. NVision Imaging Technologies is establishing a new landmark for hyperpolarized MRI. They use para-H2, and it is really exciting to imagine the future applications that will come out now that the product is launched. IMHO para-H2 is the go-for method for precision metabolomics, i.e., when looking at a particular metabolite (or image it). It is superior to d-DNP because the hardware behind is much more handy and scalable.

Norwich Research Park features very heavily in the recently published Norfolk Local Growth Plan from Norfolk County Council as one of the key reasons for optimism and here's a good example why. Two companies - ikarovec and TraitSeq - both based there have been successful in achieving significant milestones in their development in raising significant sums from investors and signing up to an major industry partnership. https://lnkd.in/e5chsd8g
