So many of #Gynecologists have referred cases to me when heartburn is a prevalent symptom. It's startling isn't it? Approximately 60 to 70%, of ovarian cancer cases are detected in advanced stages, with heartburn being a prevalent symptom. The reason for heartburn in advanced ovarian cancer is linked to acid reflux, stemming from elevated pressure on the stomach caused by the cancer spreading to the peritoneal lining of the abdominal cavity. As a result, there's an accumulation of fluid in the abdomen, pressing on the stomach and leading to acid regurgitation, commonly experienced as heartburn.
