Past month, I had an amazing opportunity to volunteer at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik, Iceland. The assembly took place in Harpa concert hall in central Reykjavik. I took up the role of a volunteer leader where I was tasked to coordinate and organize a group of 7 volunteers from different parts of the globe. At the #ACA24, I attended sessions on the implications of geopolitics, security and climate change on the Arctic. I also got to network with big names in Canadian Arctic security discourse such as Whitney Lackenbauer, Jessica M. Shadian, Ph.D. I am looking forward to further collaborate with the connections I made at the Assembly.
