Yesterday we had the exciting opportunity to engage with students from IES Cinca Alcanadre in Huesca, Spain, and introduce them to 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠, our Erasmus+ Project that is generating new flood preparedness solutions across Europe! During the event, we presented our mission and project results, emphasising EU best practices in flood risk management. The students also looked at our community mapping efforts, discovering how these participatory tools may help them identify and adapt to local flood hazards. As a part of the school's Sustainable Reality programme, the event connects students to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 2030 Agenda, and significant stakeholders in their region, such as the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation and Civil Protection. Located in a historically flood-prone location, IES Alcanadre's commitment to climate resilience is a compelling example of how youngsters can take the lead in climate adaptation!
