Catalyzing Change: Exploring the Power of Biocatalysts! Stepping into the captivating world of biocatalysis with enthusiasm, fueled by my recent induction into Dr. -Ing Amizon Azizan's inaugural class on the subject! 🌱💡 A biocatalyst is a substance, typically an enzyme, derived from living organisms, which accelerates chemical reactions by lowering the activation energy required for the reaction to occur. Enzymes, the most common type of biocatalyst, facilitate specific reactions with high efficiency and specificity, often under mild conditions. Biocatalysis offers several advantages over traditional chemical catalysts, including selectivity, sustainability, and environmental friendliness (Bommarius, 2004). As I delve deeper into this fascinating field, I'm thrilled to share my latest poster project as my first post in LinkedIn, which serves as a visual voyage through the intricate landscape of biocatalysts. Together, we explore the defining characteristics of these biological catalysts, their pivotal roles in driving chemical reactions, and the elegant mechanisms underlying their action, all under the expert guidance of Dr. -Ing Amizon Azizan. From unraveling the secrets of the lock and key model to shedding light on the distinctive features that set biocatalysis apart from traditional chemical catalysis, this poster project is a testament to the multifaceted nature of enzymatic wonders. With every word penned, this poster aim to showcase the diverse applications of biocatalysts across industries, illuminating their potential to revolutionize processes and promote sustainability. Join me on this exhilarating journey as we explore the frontiers of biocatalysis, guided by the expertise of Dr. -Ing Amizon Azizan, and embark on a quest for knowledge and innovation in the realm of green chemistry. #biocatalyst #biocatalysis #bioprocess #chemicalengineering #decarbonization #industry #engineering #reactor #bioreactor #chemistry #Innovation #sustainability #IndustryInsights References: 1.
