Sustainability can be a major challenge for digital infrastructure, but it can also create new opportunities. At ⭕KI Park e.V., we initiated the Expert Group on Digital Infrastructure to address this challenge and promote sustainable solutions 🤖🌱 Speaking of which, we would like to introduce you to DATA2HEAT, a breakthrough joint venture of our ⭕KI Park e.V. member Investa Real Estate and the GASAG Gruppe 💪🔥 The Internet is changing our society, our economy and, in the future, even the way we heat our homes. The waste heat from data centers can be used to heat surrounding buildings 🏭 DATA2HEAT is working on such a project in Berlin's Marienpark innovation district. In this project, the 28°C warm exhaust air from the neighboring NTT BER 2 data center is heated to the required flow temperature in an energy center and then fed into a newly created decentralized district heating network.
