Emergency responders are using high-resolution #aerialimagery more than ever before, especially when it comes to planning better routes for emergency vehicles and understanding potential obstacles or dangers on a property. Since 2019, the State of Tennessee has been using #ortho imagery from Vexcel to support their state agencies and local 911 districts. Access to urban and rural imagery has greatly enhanced their emergency response and overall operational efficiency. After the COVID-19 pandemic, #FDNY experienced a higher number of emergency calls and slower emergency vehicle response times. FDNY was curious whether these changes were occurring due to a shift in people's travel patterns, including increased congestion from increased rates of car ownership.
