Understanding the Current Situation in #Venezuela: A Professional Perspective. As a Venezuelan and a marketing professional, I feel a profound responsibility to shed light on the ongoing situation in my beloved country. Venezuela is enduring a complex socio-political and economic crisis, exacerbated by the missteps of Maduro's regime. However, recent events have shown a glimmer of hope, driven by the success of the opposition leading by María Corina Machado Parisca and Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia. Here are the top 5 communication failures of Maduro's regime: 1. Lack of Transparency: Maduro's regime has consistently failed to maintain transparency, leading to widespread distrust. 2. Inconsistent Messaging: Mixed signals about economic policies, public health measures, and social programs have left citizens uncertain and disillusioned. 3. Neglecting Public Sentiment: Ignoring the concerns and needs of the populace has been a significant flaw. 4. Propaganda Over Truth: Relying heavily on propaganda instead of factual information has backfired. 5. Failure to Adapt: The regime has struggled to adapt its communication strategies to the digital age, and nowadays, everyone can show the truth with their cell phones. The recent success of Edmundo and Maria Corina, particularly during the election of 28J, which you can check here at https://lnkd.in/e6pmqYZx, can be attributed to their commitment to transparency and effective communication: 1. Honest and Open Communication: Prioritizing honesty has fostered trust and support. 2. Consistency in Messaging: Clear, unified voices and coherent narratives have strengthened their position. 3. Engagement with Public Sentiment: Actively listening and responding to public concerns has garnered widespread support. 4. Leveraging Digital Platforms: Utilizing social media and other digital platforms effectively has amplified their reach. 5. Transparency as a Value: Being open about goals, processes, and challenges has built a strong foundation of trust. The situation in Venezuela serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of transparency in any organization. In today's interconnected world, honesty and openness are not just ethical choices but strategic imperatives. Let’s take these lessons to heart and strive to create a better, more transparent future for our businesses and our communities. #Venezuela #Transparency #EffectiveCommunication #MarketingLessons

This is a network of people & businesses, correct? (Social Media) Then let me use it once for CALL & ALERT 🚨 🇻🇪 I will leave today a message here for Leaders, Organizations, CEO´s, business owners, Investors, and so on about people. For me, people are the MOST important asset in businesses and organizations. While we have wars, repression, dictatorship, unfair social conditions, and disrespect to the social power and vote in our region and world; we will have risks, problems, difficulties, and constraints in our businesses and talent pipeline and development. What is happening in Venezuela 🇻🇪; can, will, and is affecting your businesses, and your talent; whether you are related or not. A regime has forcibly taken the results and overturned the truth Voting Will & Power of the people in Venezuela; and going further has escalated repression, killing; media & social media cancelation has taken place. ONU & Carter Center has confirmed that the results show a request for change. We need the voice, Your voice, the support, and pressure from all businesses, CEOs, Owners, and business guilds in the International landscape to pressure Governments in the region and the world not to accept what is happening in Venezuela and to avoid that we Venezuelans are silence and forgotten. There is a landscape of opportunities, an educated, seasoned, resilient, and well-trained army of Venezuelans that can take the Latam economy to another level. Last night Venezuela was once again robbed of its freedom. After a clearly successful win for the presidential candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez, officials of the CNE announced false results. I think it is safe to say that we were all expecting this. But knowing it will happen doesn't make it any less infuriating. Despite my ambition and emotions, I struggle to think of a way in which this attempt at free elections is different from the rest. We have tried and failed repeatedly. It is difficult not to become a victim of Learned Helplessness. Why should it be any different now? One of the differentiating factors I see today is the amount of international consciousness that has been raised. Whether it is foreign political leaders in a press conference or CEO's tweeting, there is noise about yesterday's events all around the world. Having the world know the truth has immense value because it puts pressure on the government and brings support to all of us Venezuelans. We all must know what is going on. If this post helps create consciousness for a single person who did not know what was happening before, it will have fulfilled its purpose. Thank you to everyone who is not a Venezuelan citizen and has nonetheless shared our worries on the current situation. It is because of this support that I have more faith in seeing a free country and millions of Venezuelans being united once again.

Post Brexit: How the UK government enters Neo-colonial agreement with the Federal Government of Nigeria. Do we really need cross jurisdictional practice with any other countries outside Africa? In international relations, every country looks out for its own interest first , and if the other party gains something, fine ! After losing the European market due to Brexit in 2020, the UK government is now turning to its former colonies. Nigeria , being a huge market but without a conducive regulatory environment, wets the greed of the UK government. As a result, the UK Trade Minister and her Nigerian counterpart signed a zero sum agreement to allow UK lawyers practice in Nigeria and Nigerian lawyers practice in the UK. This is a COMPLETE SHAM. This is an insult to all legal practitioners and judicial personnel in Nigeria. For the FG to sign such a crazy agreement at this time shows misplaced priority in governance. Every year, thousands of poorly trained lawyers , including myself, are thrown into the Nigerian market. And the FG government seems not to see this as a monumental failure. Yet a Trojan horse agreement to please the UK seems to be a priority now. #NikiToby would surely frown at this voluntary servitude ! Wouldn't it have made sense for the FG to sign such an agreement with other African countries to accelerate the operationalization of AfCFTA? African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat Why are clueless people dominating political leadership in Africa? Somebody help whisper sanity here ! If you are wondering what is going on in Venezuela, read this.
In case you have a Venezuelan colleague... On July 28, millions of Venezuelans participated in a historic mobilization seeking change. Change of a questionable democratic president, Nicolas Maduro, and a government that has already 25 years in power. However, the National Electoral Council declared Nicolas Maduro victorious with results widely deemed unverifiable, which has sparked significant distrust internationally (UN, EU, US and most of Latam countries have declared this as unacceptable and demand for clear scrutiny and proofs) - btw we are 5 days after they declared they had 80% of the scrutiny and still haven't published the detailed information. Opposition claims that Edmundo Gonzalez won 70% to 30%. They have proof of this data from electoral members and observers, who got a legal document with the totals from each of the electoral centers from at least 83% of the centers in Venezuela. The sovereign Venezuelan people have been cheated, and they are frustrated and angry at a government that won't listen and just do their will to perpetuate themselves in power. The ensuing protests have tragically resulted in over 16 deaths, numerous injuries, and over 700 detentions (to the day). Opposition leaders are being kidnapped, and the aggressive behavior has led diplomats to leave the country. Protests are most likely just getting started, like it happened in 2002, 2007, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022. With around eight million Venezuelans living abroad (only 1% were allowed to vote), many of us are coping with the added challenges of migration, grief, and anxiety. The recent election and especially its aftermath have amplified our emotions of frustration and hope and our concern for our family living in the country, their safety, and their future. Please be patient and extend your kindness to your Venezuelan colleagues and acquaintances, especially this week, and SHARE this info with other people everywhere. We usually are hard-working, positive, and happy people. Hopefully we will smile again soon. Thank you for reading, and now spread the word and the light for Venezuela! 🇻🇪 #EyesOnVenezuela #SpreadKindness #Freedom #HastaElFinal

Venezuela used to be the richest country in South America, with massive oil reserves and wealth. But today, it’s still facing a terrible crisis with extreme poverty, food shortages, and millions fleeing the country...towards the American Dream. It’s a reminder that no nation is immune to collapse. Economic mismanagement, corruption, and poor leadership can lead even the wealthiest nations down a destructive path. As we reflect on Venezuela’s fall, it’s important to understand how political and economic decisions here in the U.S. can either strengthen or weaken our own stability. https://lnkd.in/eigJ7YFQ Sal Artiaga

Venezuela at the Crossroads: The Battle for Change Intensifies The mobilizations called for yesterday by both the government and the opposition concluded without incidents, marking a significant departure from the violence seen in previous protests. President Nicolás Maduro, speaking to thousands of supporters in Caracas, urged the swift approval of the Anti-Fascism Law and the NGO Regulation Law, which could further restrict civil liberties. In contrast, opposition leader María Corina Machado, allegedly addressing over 100,000 demonstrators along Francisco de Miranda Avenue, emphasized that the fight against the current regime "will continue until the end." The population remains highly vigilant, closely monitoring Machado's next moves, though uncertainty persists about how she might catalyze a significant split within the government and the armed forces—an essential element for a potential regime change. Economic activities continue without disruption, but the situation is marked by stagnant wages, with inflation exceeding 400% annually, raising concerns about a new wave of emigration if Maduro secures another presidential term. Public and governmental institutions remain in a state of anticipation, with restricted activities until a ruling is issued by the Supreme Court of Justice—the only authority Maduro has publicly acknowledged as legitimate in determining electoral outcomes. Meanwhile, international pressure, particularly from the United States, the European Union, and the Lima Group, intensifies in the hope of facilitating a peaceful transition of power in Venezuela. Stay informed and watch closely—Venezuela’s future hangs in the balance. #VenezuelaCrisis #MaduroRegime #MaríaCorinaMachado #VenezuelaLibre JOSE PAREJO & ASSOCIATES #JoseParejoAndAssociates
