Arigna Group’s Post

Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns praised the “incredible efforts” of the 94 Gaelic Games clubs who were recently presented with Green Club awards in Croke Park. The Green Club Programme, a partnership between the GAA and local authorities, was established in 2020 to support GAA, LGFA and Camogie clubs to take action across five thematic areas of Energy, Waste, Water, Biodiversity, Travel & Transport and is funded with support from the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications. As sponsors of several Gaelic Games teams past and present, we’re especially thrilled in Arigna to be part of this brilliant initiative in collaboration with Probio Carbon. We look forward to continuing our support of Kilcock GAA Club and their efforts to eliminate pesticides and chemical fertilisers in their club. As the largest operating biochar plant in Europe, we are in a position to work with any other clubs out there eager to make the transition to a greener future.
