CTE Zeta CTE's latest truck mounted lift is the 24 metre articulated Zeta 24 J. The new model joins the Zeta 22 which was shown at Bauma in late 2022. As with the Z and Zed models of the past, the new machine employs the same dual sigma type riser, three section telescopic boom but utilises a two metre long articulating jib which attaches to the front of the basket for 24 metres working height, 10.5 metres outreach with 100kg at an up & over height of 10 metres. Maximum platform capacity is 250kg, available at just over eight metres outreach. If the pace of development continues, then pure diesel machines will be phased out before the European deadline in 2035. This will be helped along if prices become more realistic as new developments in technology and greater production volumes make their impact. Early last year XCMG Group launched its second European All Terrain - the 120 tonne four axle XCA120E - with a seven section 66 metre main boom, topped by an 11.65 to 18.5 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, which can offset by up to 40 degrees. Two 7.1 metre lattice extension sections can be added between the boom nose and the swingaway to achieve the maximum tip height of just over 96 metres, while the maximum radius is 60 metres. The 120 tonne nominal capacity is achieved at a theoretical 2.5 metres, at three metres it can handle 80 tonnes. Power comes from an MTU diesel driving a 12 forward - two reverse speed ZF 12 TraXon transmission, with the three rear axles all driven, while all wheel steering is standard as is a retarder. The independent suspension system avoids the need for full width axles and is similar in its overall concept to that used by Grove. The new crane has an overall width of 2.75 metres, while the overall length is just over 14.3 metres. The outriggers have up to five working widths, fully retracted, 3.83, 5.0, 5.9 or seven metres when fully extended. Maximum counterweight is 33 tonnes, made up of eight slabs allowing a variety of configurations. 🦾Active Compensation for Any Robot🦾 ⚙️As much as we like to trumpet our innovative surface processing solutions like Mimic and Craftmate, many of these applications would not be achievable without our Nordbo Active Compensation Unit. ⚙️This little blue box seen in many of our videos has the crucial job of measuring and maintaining the amount of pressure applied on any surface.  Naturally this is a key factor in any surface processing task such as sanding or polishing and is important to be able to control.  The unit does this through maintaining constant pressure via a pneumatic valve that monitors the applied pressure. The engine pod, which is rotatably connected to the ship's hull, is connected via a common shaft to a first cascade of two ring blades arranged in the direction of travel and a further rear cascade of two ring blades, each of which cascades forming a torque stage of a turbofan engine. Each torque stage comprises a smaller annular vane that is rigidly connected to the engine pod and a larger annular vane that is connected to the rotor blades of a ship's propeller. The annular blades of each torque stage are oriented in the direction of travel. Both blades generate thrust when the watercraft is starting up, with the larger rotating blade generating thrust at a higher speed. In the rear torque stage, both the smaller and larger annular blades generate thrust in the direction of travel. E-Trailer testing Last week, Trailer Dynamics GmbH tested ABS for the E-Trailer on various surfaces at our premises in Aldenhoven: On the tiled track with a static friction coefficient of 0.1µ, on wet asphalt µ0.6 as well as half and half split, i.e. also on µ split. In the next step, an anti-slip control system is adapted for the electrically driven axle of the trailer. Would you also like to achieve your test goals with us?
