We are thrilled to announce that the Arizona Trail Association is joining a groundbreaking nationwide initiative—Earth Gives Day! 🌎 ✨This unique giving day provides a streamlined platform where you can discover, support, and amplify the work of environmental and climate organizations like ours. Earth Gives Day was created to address a critical gap: less than 2% of all charitable donations currently go to environmental and climate causes. This isn’t enough to drive the impactful change our planet desperately needs. By participating, you help shift more focus onto these vital issues, supporting both our mission and those of our dedicated colleagues in the climate and environmental sector. Here’s how you can make a difference: 1. Donate: Visit https://lnkd.in/gjHRj3KG to make your contribution. 2. Share: Use the quick share button when you give to spread the word to your network. Prefer not to use social media? Text or email the URL to your friends and family. 3. Alternative Contributions: If you prefer to donate by check or Donor Advised Fund, please make it out to Arizona Trail Association and send it to us to be received by September 26 so we can manually add it to our total. Your support could help us earn additional prize dollars for our organization.

Rod and his team are the best. Fast, efficient and a wealth of knowledge in the business. I loved voicing this one, a bit of narration, different that a commercial really and still different from eLearning. The closest I’ve gotten to a “documentary”. #FortWayne #NonProfit #Narration
At Luminous we help nonprofits tell their story. Community Harvest has been serving this community for over 40 years! Watch this opening to their documentary and let's discuss your story! luminousproductions.org

I just want to amplify this new study. That’s being done around community centric fundraising and philanthropy. Are you using community centric fundraising principles? Have your lead fundraiser or your entire fundraising team sit down together and fill this out.
Calling all fundraisers and Community-Centric Fundraising champions - please participate and amplify! Help shape research about Community-Centric Fundraising in philanthropy. You are invited to participate in a research study on the use of Community-Centric Fundraising practices to understand how organizations are carrying out fundraising activities today. and what changes they have made in their fundraising programs in response to calls for diversity, equity, and inclusion. The survey will take 20 to 25 minutes and should be completed by your organization’s lead fundraiser or the fundraising team together. The research is being conducted by Elizabeth Dale, PhD, of Seattle University and Maya Hemachandra, CFRE, and is being supported by the Community-Centric Fundraising Global Council. The survey is open through May 31 (it may be extended based on response). For questions about the study, email Dr. Dale at dalee@seattleu.edu. https://lnkd.in/gAm-zEVG

Fellow nonprofit consultants -- how are you living into your equity commitments as the year winds down? One thing I'm doing is making another gift to the Community Centric Fundraising: Community-Centric Fundraising is a fundraising model that is grounded in equity and social justice. They prioritize the entire community over individual organizations, foster a sense of belonging and interdependence, present their work not as individual transactions but holistically, and encourage mutual support between nonprofits. Check out the movement here: https://lnkd.in/gDb-42Xt How about you?

Opinion: some nonprofit shops paralyze themselves by tracking too many metrics. The donor participation project held a season on increasing diversity and representation among donors. The no. 1 comment was “we want to act but we don’t have enough data.” 1 You can tell if you have a diversity problem. 2 Use LinkedIn to find constituents who would add diversity to your organization. 3 Go talk to them! 💪💪

If you’re lucky enough to have volunteers on-site at your nonprofit, don’t forget to: 😊 Stop by. 👋 Say “Hello” and “Thank you.” ✏ Learn their names. 👂 Listen to why they chose to give time to your organization. Because… When a volunteer shows up, they are showing you that they value the work your organization is doing. Making them awesome: 💛 Ambassadors 💚 Advocates 💜 Future (if not current) donors, and maybe even 🧡 Potential board members In my experience... When a nonprofit leader shows up and spends a few minutes getting to know volunteers better, they feel more connected to the organization AND truly appreciated. What's your favorite way to show appreciation to volunteers?
