In case you missed it, our own Jordan Miller, Dominion Energy’s Gus Johnson and Will F. and Woolpert’s Mike Battles offered a look at Dominion’s leading approach to cost-effective resilience at UIIC - Utility Imagery & Inspection Consortium’s Summer Symposium in Richmond earlier this month. Here’s one of our favorite takeaways from Gus on the importance of a centralized, high-quality data set that infuses every operation with more proactivity: “We envision a future where every asset—whether a transmission tower or a substation—is seen with unprecedented clarity. Our mission is to create a comprehensive imaging and inspection ecosystem that enables decision-makers, field crews, and engineers alike to access information for use cases such as inspections, vegetation management, environmental monitoring, emergency response, asset management, and much more.”

Super proud to share this news. A large contract for deepwater flowlines for TotalEnergies in Brasil. As a true disruptor, we in Strohm have fought hard for many years to create adoption in a conservative market place. After all, by offering a pipe technology that simply does not corrode, does not fatigue and does not suffer from embrittlement, we remove a fundamental problem the pipeline industry has spent many years in accommodating. Now we see that more and more end-users are coming round to the fact that our technology simply is superior. On this project TotalEnergies is replacing conventional flexible flowlines which only have seen operation for a few years, while TCP has a design life of 30 years. With this project, we disrupt; with this project, we reduce cost and CO2 footprint. And finally, as these lines will see high levels of CO2 content, we set a huge step towards Carbon Capture and Storage applications! #Disruption #CCS #OffshoreEnergy #Deepwater #TCP #Corrosion #Innovation
Strohm is thrilled to announce our latest milestone in collaboration with TotalEnergies EP Brasil! IMPORTANT NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT: Marking our largest commercial contract to date and a debut project in the Brazilian pre-salt region, we have been awarded a significant contract to supply TCP Flowlines for an offshore field located in the Santos Basin. Martin Van Onna, CEO of Strohm, said: “We are immensely proud of this achievement, which builds upon our longstanding partnership with TotalEnergies. As the pioneer of TCP technology, we have experienced their strong support since as early as 2009. Recently TotalEnergies installed a TCP Jumper at the Egina field, and now we welcome this TCP Flowline contract - the ‘definitive solution’ that the industry has been seeking.” Scheduled for installation in 2026 at a water depth of 2,200 meters, this groundbreaking project signifies a pivotal moment for the offshore industry. Strohm’s innovative TCP technology, renowned for its resilience and sustainability, has been chosen for its corrosion immunity, specifically targeting Carbon dioxide-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC-CO2), and offers a remarkable 30-year design life.
