Count from 10 to 0 as you exhale. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.... 0. Repeat as many times as feels right. Don't rush it. For best results now write out a thought or two that came to your mind during the breathing exercise.

Breathwork is like having a superpower hidden inside you! It’s one of the easiest and most amazing ways to help your body and mind feel calm, strong, and ready for anything. Your breath is a remote control for your feelings Have you ever used a remote to change the TV channel? Breathing is like a remote control for your feelings. Ever noticed that when you are anxious, scared, nervous, or upset, your breath gets fast, and your heart races? But when you take slow, deep breaths, you’re telling your brain, "Hey, everything’s okay." This switches the channel in your mind from "stress" to "calm." Quick Exercise Next time you feel worried, try this: take a slow breath in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, then breathe out through your mouth for 4 seconds. Do this a few times and see how it makes you feel. This is called the "4-4-4" method, and it helps you feel calm and focused. Breathwork is simple, but it’s super powerful. The more you practice it, the more you’ll feel ready to tackle anything that comes your way!

Stressed? Pause and take a deep breath. I'll teach you a trick today. It's called "box breathing". Here's how it works: 1. Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds. 2. Hold your breath for 4 seconds. 3. Exhale through your mouth for 4 seconds. 4. Hold for 4 seconds. (Repeat 4 times) Box-breathing balances your oxygen + CO2 levels. So, next time you're feeling overwhelmed, remember the box and breathe. If you want to go deeper, try this: 1. Close your eyes. 2. Lie on your back. 3. Breathe deeply for 5-10 minutes. 4. Focus your attention on each body part, releasing any tension. This is called a "body scan" technique. Now, that your mind and body are calm, go tackle that task at hand. Just don't forget to pause and breathe.

TOP TIPS THE WARMUP! Preparing for a Presentation. 1. BODY - Breathe! Breathe to both calm your nerves and centre your body and voice. Using the breathing technique of breathing in for 4, holding it for 2 and breathing out for 7 about 4 times will naturally calm your nerves by lowering your heart rate, helping you to oxygenate better and give you better support for your voice. 2. VOICE – Hum Connect to the feeling and sound of your voice in your lips and nose by humming. Go up and down in pitch to warm up your voice. 3. RECITE Speak through your script out loud and imagine yourself filling the space you will be presenting in. 4. SPEED RUN Now run your script though as FAST as your mouth will take you! This will exercise the mouth and tongue muscles and ensure clear diction focus your attention. 5. SILENCE Take a moment of silence to feel where your body is, mind is at and to tap into your heart rate and any nerves. Now use these nerves to fuel the energy for your presentation. 6. RECITE AGAIN! Now speak through your script out loud again and feel how much more contained and focused it is now you have done a Speed Run. Take a moment. Feel the sensations of breathing in your body as you breathe in and breathe out. This brings you to the present moment, the only real moment. Pausing through the day. To recharge. To know what is actually happening. To meet your needs. To make it happen, you need a prompt. A reminder. What would prompt you through the day? You also need the ability and the motivation together with the prompt. Then it will happen. If you practice consistently, you’ll notice the effects in your day to day. Some few grounding techniques one can practice .
One of my followers asked for grounding techniques that don’t involve deep breathing. For some, deep breathing can actually feel overwhelming—especially for those with trauma or conditions like asthma. The sensations of deep breathing can sometimes bring on anxiety rather than calm. Here are 4 grounding tips that focus on other senses and simple actions: 5-4-3-2-1 Technique ✋ Notice 5 things you see, 4 you can touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, and 1 you taste. Hold an Object 🪴 Grab a small item (like a stone) and focus on its texture, weight, and temperature. Temperature Awareness 🌡️ Use a warm mug or an ice pack to feel the sensation of warmth or coolness. Tense and Release 💪 Gently tense and relax a part of your body, like your hands or shoulders, or even imagine this if physical movement is limited. Grounding is about finding what helps you feel present.
