It's fun to ask AI things because it's so smart right? Let's ask it "How many people would die in the first year if we immediately stopped using fossil fuels today?" AI: "Given the scale of dependence on fossil fuels for food, water, and basic societal functions, a sudden cessation would be catastrophic. Taking all factors into account, my best guess at the global death toll in the first year would be in the range of: 1.5 to 2.5 billion deaths globally in the first year. 👀 This estimate reflects the enormous impact of a global food crisis, combined with healthcare breakdowns, water shortages, and societal collapse. While this is speculative, the sheer scale of disruption to critical systems that sustain life suggests a massive loss of life, particularly from starvation and related causes." Whoa... perhaps we should calmly figure this out since so many lives hang in the balance??
