🎄𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 👯👯 In Austria, we often talk about December being the most tranquil time of the year. Well, it’s not. At least not for us (but I bet not just us). The time leading up to the holidays means one thing above all: it’s high season for photo books. Because, let’s face it — they are just awesome Christmas presents 🤩 I might be biased, but our workload speaks for itself. What I love most about this crazy period? 🩵 𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀, 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 🩵 ↳ Everyone, really everyone, chimes in to make sure that our customers will get their perfect gifts in time for the holiday celebrations. Because we have a common, and emotional, goal! ↳ The Journi team turns into a squad of 80 Christmas elves, working tirelessly to make eyes shine with joy when they unpack their photo books. ↳ At our production sites, we’ve even seen the CEOs themselves work on the assembly line if needed. This year, I want to say thank you to all of them already in advance. Because I know we’ll make it happen again together! And if we don’t because we’re not real elves, we’re human, after all? With a production defect rate of under 1%, we don’t mess up very often. However, if something goes south, we make sure our customers get a nice Christmas card with a QR code providing access to the digital version of their photo books and, of course, also a discount. What about you: What do you like most about the holiday season? PS: Enjoy a not 100% serious glimpse behind the scenes in the video below 😉 #Christmas #photobooks #teamspirit

Did you know a VA brings all the Christmas colors to life? Let’s unwrap the magic! 🎄 Did you know there's a deeper meaning behind those Christmas colors we love so much? If you’ve ever wondered why we see so much white, red, green, and gold around the holidays, you’re about to find out! Let’s break it down, VA-style (because we love a good system)! White = Purity and Peace, just like the calmness of the holiday season (and a clean, organized inbox—shoutout to all VAs managing those busy emails!). Red = Love and Sacrifice, symbolizing the blood of Christ. It’s also the color of passion—so much like the enthusiasm we put into client projects during the busiest season! Green = Eternal Life and Resilience. Just like evergreen trees, our projects (and our energy) never stop growing, especially as the year comes to an end. Gold = Royalty, Wealth, and Glory—pretty much the way we feel when we hit those end-of-year goals and deliver top-tier service. 💡 Here’s the kicker: These colors aren’t just festive; they’re full of meaning, just like every task a VA tackles! From organizing workflows (White), to helping businesses grow (Green), to delivering with love and passion (Red), and to reaping the rewards of a job well done (Gold). ✨ So this holiday season, take a moment to reflect on how your work as a VA brings all the colors of Christmas to life! Whether you’re managing a client’s inbox or creating Christmas-themed content, your role is essential in making things shine. 🔔Ready to add a splash of festive brilliance to your VA game? Drop a 🎄 in the comments and let me know how you’re adding your own “color” to the season! PS: Don’t forget, just like the holiday colors, your efforts are always valuable—whether they’re seen or behind the scenes. PSS: Oh, and remember... organization, like Christmas, comes in many colors! 😉 Which color do you nurture as a VA? Let's keep the game on in the comment section. #ChristmasColors #VAGlow #VirtualAssistantVibes #HolidaySeason #ColorYourWork

Ah, December. The month where we’re all expected to: ✔️ Wrap up everything at work by 31 December. ✔️ Nail the perfect Christmas shopping list (did I really forget the Secret Santa AGAIN?). ✔️ Attend every festive event (because heaven forbid you miss the annual office quiz). ✔️ Create a magical, Hallmark-worthy family experience at home. Sound familiar? It’s like we all signed up for a marathon we didn’t train for—and then decided to add juggling flaming torches for good measure. Let’s pause for a second... why do we put so much pressure on ourselves to "do it all"? Tradition is wonderful, yes. But it’s okay to rewrite the script a little—especially if that script has you running on empty by the time you finally sit down to Christmas dinner. 🎄 What really matters isn’t the perfectly tied bows or spotless spreadsheets. It’s showing up. Showing up for your colleagues, your family, and—most importantly—for yourself. The magic of Christmas isn’t in external perfection; it’s in those imperfect moments when you let go and just be. So here’s my invitation: 🎁 Give yourself the gift of self-compassion. 🎁 Trade in people-pleasing for peace of mind. 🎁 Celebrate your effort, not just the outcomes. This Christmas, let’s focus on the kind of inner peace that doesn’t fit in a stocking. Because if you’re reading this, you’re already doing more than enough! Wishing you all a holiday season that feels real, not rushed. Let’s embrace the chaos and joy for what it is—and give ourselves credit for simply showing up. How are you juggling the corporate and family holiday pressures? Drop your favourite "keep it real" tips below—I’d love to hear them! 👇 #KeepItReal #ChristmasBalance #CorporateLife #InnerPeace #ShowingUp

I'm sick of all these "closing down for Christmas" posts. Here's what I like to here: 🔫 Forget Die Hard... time to go hard When others sip eggnog, you have a unique opportunity to gain an advantage over the festive layabouts. While they sleep off a turkey and stuffing hangover, you can be hustling and grinding. Not everyone celebrates Christmas... if they have an internet connection, this is your chance. 🤑 Forget Elf... build wealth What do they say? If everyone is doing one thing, do the opposite? Now's the perfect time to put that into action. Everyone is in a giving mood. Time to be in a receiving mood. As in receiving their money. Someone will be desperate for something this time of year. Sell it to them. And sell it to them for a premium. (They have no other choice). 🤝 Forget Kris Kringle... time to mingle Everyone is out everywhere. Sure, they're shopping. But one person's shopping is another networking. Pack a stack of business cards and your best lanyard and head to the high street. Who says you can't pick up business when you're in midst of the festive buying chaos. That's the best time to hit someone with your best pitch for AI lead gen services. (If you like violence meted out towards you) But seriously... ... I do prefer working right up until Christmas. I just can't relax anyway. I won't finish up until Christmas Eve. Because there's still so much to do. A few years ago, I planned the launch of my book for Christmas Eve to get it into the charts as Christmas No.1 in brand, marketing and small business. (My supporters were utterly delighted I chose such a convenient time...) Last year, I ran a full company workshop two days out from Christmas. The company needed to get it done fast. And I loved it. This year will be no different. If you're one of those people who still wants to make progress before the end of the year and needs support for: 🔥 Messaging 🔥 Marketing strategy 🔥 Last-minute campaign strategy 🔥 Consulting 🔥 Planning Or you want to get ahead for when 2025 strikes, send me a DM. #marketing #christmas #brand P.S. It’s the week before Christmas.... .... and if you’re anything like me, you’re caught in that whirlwind of trying to get everything done. Work projects need to be wrapped up (ideally with more precision than my gift wrapping), emails need sending, and loose ends need tying up before the year officially winds down. I have always struggled in the run up to Christmas as I know if I don't tie up what I need to, I can't properly relax and be entirely 'present' to enjoy some downtime. But here’s the reality: my idyllic Christmas vision of sitting in front of a festive movie, glass of wine in hand, serenely wrapping presents… quickly turns into chaos. Ripped paper everywhere, the sellotape disappearing for the millionth time, and me wondering why I thought multitasking was a good idea! This time of year is a reminder of the delicate balance between tying up all those professional loose ends and actually allowing ourselves to pause and enjoy the season. Here’s what I’m trying to remember: - Done is better than perfect. Not everything will be flawless, and that’s okay. Prioritise and let the small stuff wait. - Take breaks. The wine and the wrapping will be there later. Step away from the to-do list (work or Christmas-related) and savor the moment when you can. - Laugh at the chaos. Sometimes it’s the moments of ripped wrapping paper and runaway sellotape that make the best memories. So, to everyone in the same boat—whether you’re closing out work for the year or untangling fairy lights at home—you’re not alone. Let’s embrace the imperfect and make the most of this festive season! 🍷🎁 #ChristmasCountdown #WorkLifeBalance #FestiveChaos #MakingMemories

As the holiday season approaches, I find myself transported back to the days when sending Christmas and New Year greetings was a ritual steeped in love, thoughtfulness, and a touch of magic. Back then, greeting cards weren’t just messages -- they were treasures. Remember the joy of walking into a stationery shop, carefully flipping through racks of colorful cards? Each one felt like a little masterpiece. The hours we spent picking out the perfect card for every cousin, relative, and family friend -- a card that somehow captured their essence or conveyed exactly how much they meant to us. The real work began at home. With our best pens in hand, we poured our hearts onto those cards, crafting personal notes that carried our wishes across the miles. Writing out full postal addresses was an art in itself, ensuring no detail was missed. (Remember how long it took to double-check those P.O. Box numbers or pin codes?) And then came the grand finale -- a trip to the post office. Buying stamps was like the cherry on top. Carefully affixing them, dropping the envelopes into the red postbox -- it felt ceremonial, like sending a little piece of yourself to someone you cared about. The anticipation that followed was just as special. You knew your card would bring a smile to their face, a warmth to their heart, and maybe even a place on their mantel for weeks to come. Contrast that with today. In an era of WhatsApp and social media, where wishes are sent with a few clicks, the charm of those handwritten notes and the excitement of checking the mail have faded into memory. Yes, it's quicker now -- more convenient -- but somehow, it doesn’t feel quite the same. I miss those days when greeting cards weren’t just exchanged; they were cherished. When the effort behind them made every “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” infinitely more meaningful. Here’s to those golden days -- and to the hope that, even in this digital age, we can bring a little of that old-world magic back.

💌Sending a physical Christmas card? Still cool. Always classy. I get it—there are about a bazillion digital card options out there, from e-cards to animated snowmen that practically dance off your phone screen. But here’s the thing: no virtual card, no matter how many bells and whistles it jingles, can replace the feeling of getting a real card in the mail. You know, the kind someone actually thought about, wrote on, and licked an envelope for. (Okay, maybe they used a sponge, but you get the point.) It’s that rare magic of knowing someone thought of you, took the time to scribble✍️something heartfelt—or at least legible—and dropped it in the mail. Boom! Instant feels. Over the years, I’ve met a lot of amazing people through my work—keynote speaking, coaching, hospitality consulting, podcast hosting, and generally making my parents proud that their kid “talks for a living.” Some of these folks have become lifelong friends. Recently, one of them slid into my DMs (don’t worry, it’s PG-rated) asking for my address because he wanted to send me a Christmas card.🎄 It was such a small gesture, but you know what? It made my day. It reminded me that 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥—𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶—𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳. And isn’t that the point? It’s not about big, grand gestures or perfect Hallmark-movie moments. Sometimes it’s just about showing people, 𝘏𝘦𝘺, 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦.🫶 That’s not just for friends and family, by the way. It’s the same with our teams and employees. Imagine how much better workplaces would be if we made people feel appreciated, supported, and valued—not just during the holidays but all year long. A quick thank-you, a note of recognition, or a simple “𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶” can work wonders. 🌟𝗦𝗼, 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: How are you planning to show your family, friends, business partners, and employees that they matter this holiday season? Drop your thoughts below—or better yet, go write someone a card. No sponges required. . . . #holidayspirit #Christmas2024 #christmascard #buildconnections #valuepeople #appreciatepeople #peoplematter

This "holiday season," don't forget to say what you actually mean. If your "holiday concert" features traditional Christmas carols and songs, guess what? It's probably a Christmas concert. If your "holiday luncheon" features an evergreen tree trimmed with baubles and lights, and a meal that's traditionally associated with Christmas, guess what? It's probably a Christmas luncheon. If it makes you uncomfortable to call these things "Christmas" events, ask yourself why. Does that feel inappropriate? Would that make people in your community or organization uncomfortable? Would it make them feel unwelcome? If so, maybe it's the event that needs to change - not just the language. The verbal and visual language you choose should match the reality of what you're doing. Don't use "the holiday season" as nothing more than a winking way to not say "Christmas." And avoid the opposite. Using red, green and white colors to promote your 'holiday' event sends a strong signal to your audience that if you don't celebrate Christmas, you might not be welcome here. Is that truly your intent? If not, consider a different color scheme. The words we use matter. Our design choices matter. The message we communicate matters. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. And have a happy holiday season.
