To understand the rank of Fleet Admiral, one needs to consider the context of World War II. The United States was working alongside Allies who had higher ranks like Field Marshals and Fleet Admirals, which were superior to American ranks. To ensure American senior officers were not outranked, the United States established the ranks of Fleet Admiral and General of the Army, both five-star ranks. In total, nine men held these ranks. For the Navy, they were Nimitz, Halsey, King, and Leahy. In the Army, the five-star generals were Arnold, Eisenhower, Marshall, MacArthur, and Bradley.

1 year at Cameron-Brooks, Inc. Thankful for the entire team here (and all my other mentors)! 10 lessons I learned in Year 1 of Biz (Written to myself): 1. The transition was hard. Harder than you thought it would be, but so rewarding. You did it. You laid the foundation of your career brick by brick, with the help of so many others. 2. Mentors can make the difference. You have that all around you, organic and inorganic to the organization. Joel Junker, and Pete Van Epps: Thank you. 3. You will feel an itch. You will feel The Dip. In fact, you already have. The honeymoon wore off quickly. Work is work, so remember why you joined this organization. 4. It takes time. Don’t expect to be an expert right away. You will learn more in your first year, and in the first 5 years of your career, if you let it. 5. Embrace the Growth Mindset. Pound a stake in the ground right now. Commit to the mindset that you will never arrive. There’s so much you don’t know. 6. Add value where you can. Little things add up to the big things! 7. The sharpest, brightest, most intellectual, wise, and humble leaders you’ve met, listened to, and spoken to, have at least one thing (if not many) in common: They are READERS! 8. Be intellectually curious. LEARN 9. “Big Ears, Big Eyes, Itty Bitty Mouth”. 10. You are standing on the shoulders of giants. Your individual success is built upon the knowledge, achievements, and innovations of those who have gone before you. Those ahead of you have already done more for you than you realize. 11. Remember, working is important. Work can be – AND IS – a vehicle for things more important.

#Reminder: 🧱 Brick orders run through Sunday, March 31. 🧱 🧱 Leave a lasting legacy to a family member or loved one that served in a branch of the United States Armed Forces with the Town of Jupiter’s Veterans Memorial Legacy Brick program. 🧱 The Town of Jupiter Veterans Memorial was opened in 2020 and is dedicated to remembering and honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, as well as those Gold Star families who have had a loved one make the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. How the Legacy Brick Program will work: 🧱 Each brick will have two options: 1. A message with no branch insignia: these bricks will include four (4) lines of text, with a maximum of 21 characters per line. 2. A message containing a branch insignia: these bricks will include an insignia of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard as well as four (4) lines of text with 15 characters per line. • All bricks will be a red charcoal color to match the current bricks found at the Veterans Memorial. • Each brick will cost $100, which will include the production of the brick as well as its installation. • Space is limited and bricks will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. If the space sells out, the Town will explore additional areas after the completion of the construction of the new Town Hall building. 🚫 No political statements will be allowed as a part of this memorial program. The Town of Jupiter reserves the right to refuse any message or the placement of a brick. 🔗 For more information and to order a brick, visit https://lnkd.in/eJ38esAt. If you have any questions about the program, email CommunityRelations@jupiter.fl.us.
