Yup, I love merchandise! This morning’s mix of nostalgia and caffeine had me reflecting on the different chapters in my work life. The hoodie? From my days at iPaper—hands down, the best workplace I’ve ever been in. I was on an 8-month part-time contract while building my own business. That plan got cut short after 6 months when I landed an opportunity to work with Kunde & Co (one of Scandinavia’s largest marketing agencies). iPaper let me end the contract early—with no hard feelings. In fact, they cheered me on and left me with the most comfortable hoodie I’ve ever owned. Seriously, steal one if you can—it’s worth it. The mug? A gift from my university friends, Mads and Claes, founders of Siana. They’re absolutely crushing it with predictive maintenance tech for big manufacturers like Danish Crown, saving them millions by simply snapping Siana's devices onto electric motors. And now, this mug is my daily go-to... when it’s not in the dishwasher. Both companies represent different paths I’ve walked, but what stays constant is the value of connection—whether it’s building something together or just sharing ideas over coffee. It’s funny how we carry little pieces of each experience with us, even when we move on to new challenges. Here’s to the lessons that stick with us, and the exciting roads ahead.

Last week, we had dinner at Cafe Seville, and it got me thinking about the difference between a product and an experience. The food? That’s the product. It’s great, and it’s why we initially showed up. But what keeps us coming back is the experience. It’s the way the owner, Joey, greets us like old friends and sits down to catch up. You might even find him solving a problem you didn't know he could. You know why? Because he knows the importance of the experience. A product gets people in the door, but an experience keeps them coming back. It’s about the relationships, the care, and the effort to go beyond delivering something transactional to creating something meaningful. This applies to everything—restaurants, fitness, business, you name it. A great product might catch someone’s attention, but a great experience creates loyalty, builds relationships, and turns customers into advocates. So, here’s the real question: Are you focused on delivering just a product, or are you creating an experience? “While fellow quick-service chains are searching for answers around traffic, Wingstop is setting records in customer acquisition. The chain’s same-store sales skyrocketed in Q1, virtually all of it fueled by transaction growth. The quarter marked the fast casual’s highest level of new guest acquisition in company history. These customers represent roughly 60 percent of all quick-service occasions, and they had never heard of or tried Wingstop beforehand. We’re delighted to share Jollyes Christmas trading performance for the 4 weeks up to Christmas Eve. Our like for like sales grew by 6% with total growth for the same period of 13%.
