It is about light, shadows, darkness, seamless transitions, mystifications. Ceson subjects his photographs to a dazzling and mesmerising lighting show. He uses his own digital chiaroscuro editing, a technique that combines bold light with intense darkness to emphasise the depth of his subjects. As with Rembrandt, it is in the shadows that the mystery and obscurity arouse the viewer's curiosity and imagination. The dynamic between visible and hidden. One of the most fundamental narratives in Ceson's art is about the 'human condition'. By not just depicting a forest glade, a cathedral, an invasive plant, for example, he pushes the material as far as possible to trigger something existential in us as viewers. #art #artexhibition #konstutställning
