how we designed the inverted dome ceiling for the restaurant and bar entrance, step by step: Entrance Design: The entrance was almost a square shape with a 20ft high ceiling. We wanted to make it visually striking. MS Frame: We started with an MS frame, with a central circle as the focal point of the design. Perfect Arch Creation: To achieve the perfect arch, we used thin metal strips, bending and fabricating them to match the levels we needed. Framework Setup: We built the framework using Gyproc channels to support the overall structure. Base Layer: To ensure the right shape, perforated thin sheets were placed as the base for the dome. Gypsum Sheets: Next, we screwed gypsum sheets onto the base to form the surface of the dome. Plastering: We applied a layer of plaster of Paris (POP) to smooth and finish the surface. Final Finish: Finally, the dome was painted using oil-bond distemper for a polished, elegant look.
