Memes time 😀 Me - a little bit of fun and a good mood can help you live longer. Especially if someone can do great things with a sense of self-irony. Also me - looking at what's happening in the world today, sometimes I doubt whether living longer is actually a benefit. 😅 P.S. Thanks for this meme for my friend. It's hard to imagine how many times someone writes proprietary information in different apps, thinking it won't be available to a third party. But that's another, much more serious topic for discussion. #Memes #FridayFeeling #Cybersecurity #DataPrivacy #TechHumor #PositiveMindset

In researching an upcoming How Hacks Happen episode on Catfishing, I stumbled upon this fascinating graph showing how heterosexual couples meet. The big takeaway: More couples currently meet online than through friends, family, or work. Normally I'd say something here like, "How did you meet your significant other?" to increase post engagement, but I know too much about micro-aggregation of data from social media comments. So don't do that. Instead, make something up! So, how did you meet your SO? :D Source: https://lnkd.in/gtmT4Uvc #cybersecurity #catfished #technology

Reason # 5,194 not to trust everything you see on the internet. Free apps like TweetGen will allow anyone to make fake X posts. That's literally all it does. It's one of many created solely to deceive you. I created one below to show you how easy it is. Took me less than 10 seconds. Disclaimer: 1) I don't have an X/Twitter account. 2) I've never eaten a koala or any other marsupial. #MSP #Cybersecurity #ManagedServices #TeamBraden

💡 Knowledge is power! my daughter's school just shared this resource, which could be useful for any parent in the region. It reviews apps and gaming that your kids might be using over the Christmas period. Giving you detailed information about each one and a breakdown of any risks you should be aware of, and useful articles to expand your understanding! An example of a TikTok breakdown: https://lnkd.in/ejvMPKiZ #cybersecurity #onlinesafety #digitalskills

Social engineering is when hackers try to trick you into revealing private information that will allow them to hack your accounts. One popular way has been those little “here’s my favorite..." fill-in-the-blank games on Facebook, but that’s not the only one. Sometimes hackers will create fake accounts, try to become friends, and manipulate you into revealing data. They have all types of creative scams. Tip: Never give away anything that they could use to guess your password (like pet names, favorite colors, etc.), money, or access to any of your accounts. #cybersecurity #hackers #databreach #kamindit #PortlandIT

Facebook is a great place to connect with friends and family, but it's also a hotspot for scammers. Here are some common scams to watch out for: 1. **Fake giveaways:** If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Always verify the source. 2. **Phishing links:** Be cautious of links asking for personal info. They might lead to fake sites. 3. **Impersonation:** Scammers often pretend to be someone you know. Verify before sharing any info. Stay safe and protect your data! 💻 Contact us at (760) 550-9496 for more tips on staying secure online. #StaySafe #CyberSecurity #ITSupport
