We are inspired by positive narratives about our beloved continent because We are African to the core as expressed by Chimamanda, “I realized that I was African when I came to the United States. Whenever Africa came up in my college classes, everyone turned to me. It didn't matter whether the subject was Namibia or Egypt; I was expected to know, to explain.” -Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. You cannot build the future if you ignore your past… Africa needs to rediscover its roots for building its modernization… Otherwise Africa will remain what it has been for the last 4 centuries… Yet even if we have experienced 2 millennia of chaotic history since 341 BC; our Ancestors continued to try recovering until the last 4 centuries of total destruction of our roots… Someone used to say that there are 3 kinds of people: those who are like leaves; those who are like branches and those who are like roots… Like people; nations too have 3 frames upon which they can be built. In Africa we have lost our roots. Our nations are built on leaves and branches without their roots that have been destroyed for the last 4 centuries… As long as we will not recover such roots; our nations will be like trees with branches and leaves without roots… 😊😊😊
