🔎Do you ever wonder how to direct lumen in a localized space ? The answer is: light reflectors. 💡 To put it simply, light reflectors are pieces of fabric that we use in filmmaking to reflect light (if it's white) or absorb it (if it's black). I always use them in my project through simple black or white primitives. You can see how they drastically affect the foreground in the cam view. 📄 You can find more of these tips and tricks in my latest 80lv article where I dissected my whole process for this project: https://lnkd.in/ejh4hbaa
Wow that's a great post! Extremely detailed and in depth. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, one of my favorite things about lighting scenes in Unreal is that I can easily translate all the principles I've used lighting real-world sets over the years, and they behave exactly how I would expect.
So exactly like we would shoot it ;)
Stop doing this amazing work and go have fun with Elden Ring, you deserve it
I really like your digital demo of how light bounce and negative fill works. Good job.

5moI'd be careful using these bounce cards with 2 viewports opened at the same time. From experience, I've seen that it's introducing GI errors 😅 Lumen doesn't know where to look for the screen space tracing when multiple viewports are active.
