"For instance, Parkroyal Collection Pickering installed about 265 solar panels 10 years ago and the payback period then was about 15 years. Sabah Pan Borneo Highway Phase 1B Tender Update #Progress: Tenders are moving forward with contracts awarded for 4 out of 20 work packages. #Timeline: - Physical work for the awarded packages starts on April 1, 2024. - The tender process for the remaining 16 packages is expected to be completed by the end of March 2024, with physical work potentially starting in May 2024. #Competition: There were 300 companies applying for the tenders, indicating high competition. #Contractors Awarded So Far: Primarily private companies have been awarded contracts for Phase 1A and the initial Phase 1B packages. #Expectation: Analysts anticipate established public construction companies like Gamuda, IJM, WCT, and MRCB to be strong contenders for the remaining tenders, especially as project funding details become clearer. #Other Potential Players: Companies with experience in Sabah and pre-cast product supply, such as Gabungan Aqrs, Gadang Holdings, Bina Puri Holdings, and TRC Synergy, could also be involved. #Risk: Due to the high competition, profit margins for the project might be lower than expected. However, cost-competitive companies could still win multiple packages.

Oil Terminal and Industrial Park Set for Construction in Philippines

GLP has begun #construction of a new 38,000 sqm #warehouse in Stary Konik, near the eastern border of Warsaw. The development will contribute to a reduction in #CO2emissions through the implementation of heat pumps, enhanced insulation, and smart metering. The roof, designed to incorporate #photovoltaic panels, will aim to reduce #emissions further after the building is occupied, while the installed electric heat pump technology will provide greater efficiency than traditional gas radiators. In terms of construction, GLP Warsaw VI #Logistics Centre will utilise circular economy practices using materials with documented, reduced #environmental impact, including recycled materials and, as far as possible, supplies from local vendors. " #Energyefficiency is one of the key considerations in all our discussions with clients on the operational costs of logistics #buildings. The project will free building operations from any dependence on gas prices while moving us closer to our goal of developing zero-emission buildings. 𝐍𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐤 𝐆𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐥𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐭🫱🏽🫲🏽 In the spring of 2024, Nukissiorfiit and Munck Gruppen a/s entered a collaboration aimed at reducing CO2 emissions in Ilulissat by approximately 2,502 tons. The collaboration focuses on ensuring a green energy supply for Munck Gruppen’s personnel camp, welding workshop, and asphalt plant, which are operational due to the construction of the upcoming international airport in Ilulissat. Energy Director Cicilie Senderovitz states: “We at Nukissiorfiit are very pleased to have established a close collaboration with Munck Gruppen in Ilulissat. We have surplus energy available in Ilulissat, which Munck Gruppen, as a new customer, will now utilize – this is beneficial for the climate and especially for Ilulissat. The collaboration has been successful because both parties have worked diligently to create the infrastructure needed for the project to succeed, benefiting the green agenda. This is a success story for Nukissiorfiit, which also benefits one of our partners.” The collaboration is expected to save approximately 836,376 liters of oil, equivalent to about 2,502 tons of CO2, which corresponds to about 27 transatlantic flights with Air Greenland’s Tuukkaq. Munck Gruppen is also pleased with the collaboration. Senior Project Manager Rasmus Schmidt-Petersen from Munck Gruppen states: “We are very satisfied with the collaboration with Nukissiorfiit, and that it is now possible to turn off the diesel generators at our camp in Ilulissat. This means our employees will experience less noise and better air quality, and we will significantly reduce our CO2 emissions for the project in Ilulissat. The collaboration with Nukissiorfiit aligns well with Munck Gruppen’s overall focus on reducing our CO2 emissions and contributing to a sustainable future for society, our employees, and the climate.” The partnership with Munck Gruppen in Ilulissat is one of several electrification projects that Nukissiorfiit is working intensively on in recent years. Nukissiorfiit focuses on the distribution of green energy in Ilulissat, where there is a surplus of hydropower, and in Nuuk, where the future expansion of the hydropower plant at Utoqqarmiut Kangerluarsunnguat also will provide a surplus of energy. #Nukissiorfiit #Energy #Sustainability
