Here’s what we’re excited about: Pocket-Sized Projectors: Forget lugging around bulky gear—soon, you might be whipping out holograms from a device smaller than your phone. Presentations are getting away from PowerPoint. zzzzzzzz. Holo-Calls in Real Time: Thanks to 5G and AI, holographic Zoom calls could be a thing. Just imagine saying, “You’re on mute” to a life-sized hologram of your coworker. Exciting stuff. Touch It, Move It, Spin It: Future projectors may let you interact with 3D visuals like a sci-fi movie hacker. Marketing demos, retail, and events will never be the same. Sharper Than Reality: High-res holograms are on the horizon, so whether it’s showcasing a product or visualizing a surgical plan, the details are mind blowing. With mirrored assets & the right entry/exit points one creates seamless visual parallels of transition. This is what our most basic virtual call-space looks like. It can be duplicated a million times over for compartmentalization & specific use or client connections to host media, links, calls, downloads, team notes, etc. Where elaborate & massive is something we've been known to undertake, it's important to recognize how powerful a fine balance of taste & simplicity can be. Sometimes you just want a zone to host files, shared media & drop in to chat in an instant. It's not always about an adventure or grandiose experience- sometimes it's really just about staying focused, sharing up some files or getting work done. I don't think many realm & reality designers have really taken time to meditate on this: Minimalist spaces with a singular goal of keeping users, researchers & teams focused & engaged can provide said teams & remote workers immense power & newfound efficiency. Zoom, Google Meet, G Drive, Telegram- so many links that could all be one link- one persistent team zone for immediate access when it matters. Hopping into 3D should really become synonymous with making a phone call. We've already been there for years- but there's a lack of understanding from the public due to mystification from opportunists looking to cash in on buzzwords & sensory overload instead of genuine problem solving or quality of life improvements. Hands-on collaboration is a key phase in developing designs for healthcare projects. Traditionally, this process involves gathering professionals and end users in a room with life-sized design elements—walls, desks, beds, etc.—crafted from cardboard and foam to see how participants interact with space. These mock-up sessions give health professionals a realistic feel of the layout, allow them to move around in spaces, and deliver feedback on design ideas in real time. It’s an invaluable and low-tech approach to designing for #healthcare. As new visualization #technology—virtual reality (#VR), for example—has become available, design teams are finding opportunities to enhance this process. By increasing the level of realistic detail during mock-ups, project teams can give collaborators more visuals to react to and comment on, resulting in more valuable feedback to help guide the design process forward. The introduction of generative artificial intelligence (#AI) is taking visualization to the next level.
