A 3-Minute Task That Could Secure Your Next Job Offer. Many candidates overlook this, but it can be a total game changer: the Thank You or Follow-Up Email. It takes just over 3 minutes and can significantly increase your chances of getting hired. If you want to stand out, show genuine interest, and leave a lasting impression, sending a follow-up email 12 to 48 hours after your interview is a MUST. Here’s how to make it count: ❌ Don’t just say “thank you.” ❌ Don’t rehash your skills or why they should hire you. ✅ Highlight something specific from your conversation. ✅ Show you’re already applying what you discussed (close the feedback loop). ✅ Keep it concise and respectful of their time. Pro tip💡: Include your full name in the subject line—keep your name top of mind. What else would you add to a thank you or follow up email? #JobSearchTips #CareerAdvice #Recruitment #Technology #Hiring

If you're trying to switch careers and get a job different than the one you have, you need to think about your job search completely differently. Don't just rely on my word for it, listen to recruiting expert - among other things - Chris Mannion: "I think the key is that it’s not about demonstrating that you’ve done the role before, because obviously you haven’t. Instead, the better approach is to look for transferable skills and think about the traits and competencies that make someone successful in a role" This needs to be an intentional process, both in your resume and in your interview, to help recruiters and hiring managers overcome the natural tendency to find someone who has done that job before. Otherwise, the job search will be a very long one.. #peopleanalytics #careerswitch #resume #interviewtips

Last week I finished my 5th interview with a company, only to learn that they opted to hire no one at all (over ~500 applicants) and put the job out again for applications. After a summer applying for jobs, I'm frequently seeing the same jobs posted and reposted every 6 weeks (some of them on their 3rd try despite thousands of qualified applicants). Are these "Ghost Jobs"? Yes, I think that's likely - there's no real intent to hire. This is just the way it is in 2024 I guess. We are all just spinning our wheels... Thanks for the interview practice. #hiring #jobs #humanresources #interview
