Today, we observe the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This day marks the tragic anniversary of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, where 14 women lost their lives to gender-based violence. As we remember these women and countless others affected by violence, we are reminded of the importance of advocating for change, supporting survivors, and promoting equality. Let us honour their memory by committing to action and working together to create a world free from violence and discrimination against women. Together, we must: -Raise awareness about the impact of gender-based violence -Support survivors with compassion and resources -Advocate for change in policies and attitudes -Educate our communities to prevent future violence -Stand in solidarity with those affected by violence

Today, December 6, we pause to reflect, remember, and renew our commitment to end violence against women. This day marks the anniversary of the tragic 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, where 14 women lost their lives simply because they were women. Violence against women remains a pressing global issue, touching countless lives and communities. From physical and emotional abuse to systemic inequalities, the fight for safety, equity, and justice is far from over. This is not just a women's issue—it's a human rights issue. We all have a role to play in creating a world where women and girls can live without fear. Here are ways we can take action today and every day: 💜 Educate ourselves and others about gender-based violence. 💜 Speak out against sexism and harmful behaviours, no matter how small they seem. 💜 Support survivors by believing their stories and providing compassionate resources. 💜 Advocate for systemic change to dismantle the structures that perpetuate inequality and violence.
