If families can’t pay these costs, they may face consequences including having their tax returns or wages garnished. ❗Not only does this court debt contribute to the cycle of poverty & racial inequity, but it also increases chances of recidivism & the cycle of incarceration for system-involved youth. ✅With the Wisconsin Debt Free Justice Coalition, we have put together a survey to better understand how such costs impact Wisconsin youth families. The Center for Research on Women and Gender at UIC and CCH are interviewing pregnant people and people with young children about the problems they face while finding safe and secure housing. People who interview will receive a $30 gift card and be invited to participate in a focus group. Are you pregnant or have you recently had a baby? And in the past five years, have you: ✔️Struggled to find a place to sleep at night? ✔️Stayed on someone’s couch or in a guest room because you had nowhere else to go? ✔️Used temporary housing, like an emergency shelter? ✔️Slept in places not meant for sleeping, like parks or lobbies? LINKEDIN Network, I need to get "LinkedIn"  with 20 Black women veterans who have applied to Section 22007 of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 or the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program (DFAP).  I am conducting doctoral research titled"Black Women Veterans' Perspectives on Farmland Procurement Through Federal Programs: A Descriptive Case Study." This study examines the challenges Black women veterans face in securing farmland for agricultural ventures, particularly in the Southern United States. The study's findings aim to inform policymakers, advocacy groups, and agricultural organizations about the experiences of Black women veterans navigating programs like Section 22007 of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 or the DFAP, which address systemic barriers and foster opportunities in agriculture. Participants will complete a 30-60 minute Zoom interview and receive a $20 virtual Visa gift card as a token of appreciation. 📌 Participation is voluntary. 📌 Participant information will remain confidential. 📌 Contact details are in the recruitment flyer below.
