This Holiday Season, let's all rejoice and be safe going into the New Year!! Here is an Alarming Trend to be aware of... Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft recently, a troubling issue has come to light: a spike in intoxicated drivers on these platforms. Let that sink in for a moment. The very service many of us rely on to get home safely could now be putting us in danger. It raises serious questions: Are platforms doing enough to vet their drivers? Should there be stronger real-time monitoring, like requiring sobriety tests before drivers go online? How can we, as passengers, help hold these companies accountable? Planning on using a rideshare to get home, might not be enough under certain circumstances, get a DD, have someone travel with you, stay over at a friends. Check out altertives here in Austin like Waymo the Driverless Lyft. As passengers, we need to stay vigilant: If something feels off during a ride, report it immediately. Use features like trip-sharing to let friends or family track your ride in real time. Keep communication open with rideshare companies to demand transparency and action. What are your thoughts? How can rideshare companies step up to address this issue? #RideshareSafety #Uber #Lyft #PublicSafety #Accountability

This is blowing my mind. In just 15 months, Waymo in San Francisco has grown its market share to match Lyft. They've taken 10% of Uber's market share and 12% of Lyft's—a seismic shift. Riders are willing to pay a premium and wait longer just to avoid having a driver. Let that sink in. Rideshare accounts for only 1% of all rides in San Francisco. How long before they start taking market share from other human drivers? Link 👇 https://lnkd.in/g4r3gNtr

Interesting: We’re all wired to have a big problem with uncertainty. Before the Uber Map, we had issues with how long a taxi took to get to us, or so we thought. I’ll explain… The Uber map pinpoints exactly where our taxi is as it makes its way to us. The time it took for a taxi in the past and the time it takes today hasn’t significantly changed. The additional information provided on the real time map changes the wait experience and removes the uncertainty. Thoughts?

In 2016, Tim Stenovic of Business Insider chronicled the rise of Uber as a cab aggregator in the US under a scathing headline - ‘More Proof that Uber is Killing the Taxi Industry.’ Yikes. If you thought Uber vs your local auto drivers was just a Bengaluru thing, think again. While the debate about cab aggregators squeezing local cab/auto drivers out of the market is still fresh, we want to hear your thoughts on BIAL's move to partner with Uber. What has been your experience? Yay/nay? Comment below. #FCTC #unboxingBLR

I have done Uber as a walker deliverer. Uber is eliminating the walker deliverer position. Uber should cover the expenses for Walker deliverers to upskill, as some like myself need to do driver's ed and pay for them to get driver's license. Uber is embracing its electronic car future but the ability of electronic vehicles to charge can affect profitability. One can be strategic about figuring out when it's most profitable to do Uber. #uberwalkerdeliverer #ubercrews #gigworker #rideshare #achievement #uberceo #uber #ubercorporate
