🤔 𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 - 𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐃, 𝐒𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 🤔 Yesterday, I had a detailed conversation with an ex-colleague over privilege and the difference it makes in our lives 🍀 If you were born in an affluent family and have gone to good schools and colleges, the world just comes easier to you. Highly likely you come of a strong network and build an even stronger one for yourself, ensuring easier success for yourself 🚀 While the conversation was fairly detailed, I share the conclusion here: 1️⃣ Privilege exists, and is probably one of the harshest realities of your life if you don't have it 😕 2️⃣ The weaker a society is, the bigger difference privilege makes in it 😥 3️⃣ You can never fight privilege; you can either avoid being trampled by it or become privileged yourself 🤡 4️⃣ Whoever you see privileged today, someone in their ancestors built that privilege from the ground. Maybe you are that person in your lineage 🏅 My takeaway: If you keep working hard in life, sooner or later privilege will come to you in some form. Make sure you make a difference and work for fairness for all 🥰 #equality #fairness #inclusion #EqualityForAll

#Allyship is crucial in the fight for #RacialJustice and #RacialEquity. It's essential for those with privilege and platforms to amplify the voices and experiences of people from Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. Being an active #ally can help to progress the dismantling of #SystemicRacism and advance the creation a more #equitable society. This involves self-education, listening to and centring the perspectives of people from the #GlobalEthnicMajority, and taking concrete actions to highlight their #exclusion, #marginalisation and #oppression. We must recognise and celebrate the often overlooked achievements and contributions of people from these communities. As a society, we should make a conscious effort to highlight and appreciate the brilliance that comes from people in every #ethnic group. Allyship isn't about receiving praise or gratitude; it's about doing what's right and working in solidarity with marginalised groups to effect meaningful change. So commit to being a lifelong learner, challenge bias and stand up to injustice. This International Men’s Day, we honour the incredible passion and dedication of the men in our team driving social impact and the perseverance of our beneficiaries, many of whom shoulder the immense responsibility of providing for their families and ensuring their well-being. On this day, we also shine a light on the challenges men face in a patriarchal society—one that places rigid expectations on all genders. From being told to "man up" and suppress emotions seen as weak or "feminine" to enduring the pressure of conforming to toxic ideals of masculinity, many men lack safe spaces to express vulnerability or seek support. For far too long, this struggle has remained unspoken. To all the men out there: we recognize the hardships you face, the societal expectations that weigh heavily on you, and the lack of avenues to show your authentic self. We acknowledge that as a society, we haven’t done enough to create safe spaces for men to open up, be vulnerable, and thrive beyond these constraints. As we move forward, we commit to addressing these concerns. By empowering families and communities, we aim to ensure that men, too, have the support they need to be equal contributors—at home, at work, and in society. Let today be a reminder that vulnerability is strength, and every voice deserves to be heard.
