Hello, I'm Eason Hildreth at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The Fund for Research and Education is a critically important mission of the SMR. Why contribute to the fund is that the opportunity is created from these donations and the fund can be transformative in the careers of scientists. This involves not only the function of these awards enhancing their education, training and research, but also the ability to grow their scientific network. I can tell you first hand that many of my most valued mentors were made possible through my involvement with the SPR. This fund helps facilitate. All these positive experiences for scientists.
