Clean Air Partnership is thrilled to share our 2023 Annual Report! Our annual report showcases our major projects, achievements, and the significant impact we've made over the past year. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our funders, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders for making 2023 a success. We are eager to continue our collective efforts to build a sustainable, equitable, and resilient society.2023 Highlights: Engaged over 3,000 municipal staff and community members on topics such as municipal fleet electrification, climate accountability, community building retrofits, sustainable development, and more. Over 5,000 individuals engaged through active transportation and road safety initiatives via intercept surveys, bike repair booths, group rides, and workshops. It's 21st March 2024, the International Day of Forests, and we have some ideas on how to govern the main resource that stands between us and total ecosystem collapse. We still lose 10 million hectares of global forests every year because the carbon credit system alone is not enough. Today, I had the enlightening experience of attending IGBC certification training, which underscored the immense importance of green buildings for sustainable development. What truly amazed me was the realization that the core principles of sustainability we are learning today have long been embedded in our ancient scriptures. The training shed light on the Panchbhootas—Agni (fire), Vayu (air), Jal (water), Akash (space), and Prithvi (earth). These elements are not just ancient wisdom but a guiding framework for achieving harmony with nature and ensuring we meet our needs without compromising the future.
