Tallbois back in, and the blend is a proper banger! Local Discovery and Worcester apples giving a lush zingy and crisp flavour to this batch. The wonders of working with supermarket rejected fruit is the ever changing varieties that come into HQ. Each lending their balance of sugar and acid, and different flavours to our ciders. And we never use any added refined sugars or acids to get in the way of that. One blend to another changes, but that's great in our eyes, as it reflects the growing season and individual nature of the fruit grown around us. Deliciously inconsistent by nature. From day one.

If you love a nighttime drink that soothes and gets you ready for bed, this just may be the one for you! Turmeric Lattes are grounding, have wonderful spices for digestion, and anti-inflammatory properties. Yay! Some things to consider: 1. This recipe can be adjusted as needed, so if you find any of the spices too strong, reduce them! 2. Bonus points for adding 1 tsp of ghee! 3. Be sure to use quality, local, raw, organic honey! If you can't find good honey, go for the maple syrup. Maple is also great in the summer because it is less heating.

Once grapes are squeezed of their juice, the leftover skins, pulp, stems, and seeds are known as grape pomace. This byproduct is often discarded, but researchers at Acadia University are exploring ways to repurpose this nutrient-rich discard. 🍇 Researchers found that adding varying amounts of grape pomace to pasta sauce was received differently by wine drinkers and those who don't drink wine. The wine drinkers enjoyed the unique flavors and textures, while non-wine drinkers had different reactions to the sauce. Learn more about how the researchers used grape pomace in innovative and flavorful ways: https://hubs.la/Q02Y863R0 #GrapePomace #ScienceOfFood #FoodTech

Harvesting red ripe coffee cherries is crucial because the ripeness of the cherries significantly impacts the quality and flavor of the coffee. When cherries are fully ripe, they contain the optimal balance of sugars, acids, and other compounds that contribute to the coffee's aroma and taste. Unripe cherries can be overly acidic and lack the complex flavors found in ripe ones. Additionally, overripe cherries can start to ferment and degrade, negatively affecting the final product. Therefore, harvesting cherries at the peak of ripeness ensures the highest quality coffee. #sustainablefarming #coffeefarming #harvestingredripecherries
