How To Answer...? "How did you hear about this position?"🤔 Employers are keen to understand how you came across their company and the position. 🕵️♂️ Did you actively seek them out, hear about the role from a recruiter, or receive a recommendation from a current employee? 🤝 They want to know the journey that led you to them. If someone recommended you, make sure to mention their name. 🗣️ Don’t assume the interviewer knows about the referral. You might want to share how you know the person who referred you, adding credibility. For instance, if Steve (the referrer) and you worked together previously, or if you met him at a networking event, mention it. ☕️ If you discovered the role yourself, be explicit about what caught your attention. 🔍 Bonus points if you can align your values with the company's mission. 🎯 You want to convince the hiring manager that you chose their company for specific reasons above all others. Lastly, if you were recruited, explain why you decided to pursue the opportunity. 🎣 Did the role sound like a good fit? Does it align with your career goals? Even if you weren't familiar with the organization before, express enthusiasm for what you've learned and honesty about your interest in moving forward. 🚀

I get it… I slide into your dms with the classic: “Hey… how are you… I have a job you’ll love…!” 😐 Don’t they all, you and 5 other recruiters.. 🙄 Then I seem to dance around the mystery—who’s the client, what’s the role, what’s the salary? Why the secrecy? Why will I only tell you this information on the phone? Well, there’s actually a bit of logic to it. First off, our main goal is to make sure the role aligns with your ambitions, not just the client’s wish list. Sure, ticking boxes for the company is part of it, but if the job doesn’t excite you or move you forward in your career, what’s the point? LinkedIn profiles only show so much: we might know your title, but we don’t know what makes you the top performer you are. Are you smashing targets? Have you led a project that deserves more credit? Are you being paid the industry average for your experience? I want to know it all. Getting on the phone lets us go beyond the job title. It’s like a matchmaking session (minus the awkward “So have you been on the apps for long?” convo) where we talk not just about the role I messaged you about but explore other potential opportunities that can offer you what you are telling me you want. So, instead of a LinkedIn bumble-esque “tease” chat , let’s have a proper chat on the phone. That way, I can share all the details, make sure it’s what you’re looking for, and help you find something you’ll be excited about.

Applying Online Won’t Land You a Job. Here is why! 1. On average, each corporate job posting receives 250 applications. 2. From there, only 4-6 people will be called in for an interview, and one will be offered a job. 3. Success rate: a .004% of landing a job by applying online. Check the full report from Glassdoor in the comments below! So, folks who think networking is dead, this is for you! We cover basic networking best practices to land your next role in the "How to Break Into Customer Success" course, and this is one of the reasons why you should get your name on that waitlist 🚀👇🏼

I often fall victim to this question, but the following examples are great and I’ll definitely have to tailor them around my next interview.
Dear Jobseeker, how do you answer "𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝟯-𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀?" I suggest when answer this question, try to not mention about the title of position. The purpose of this question asked by interviewer is want to ensure that you are interested and having passion to this field so you don’t have to answer question like I want to be a leader or manager. This answer might be offensive. Therefore, here's the template I answer: #Point 1: In the first 3 years, I plan to [your initiative plan] immerse myself in this role by [how do you execute] leveraging my strong communication skills to work with clients. #Point 2: I believe a few years of working at your company will allow me to develop a strong foundation in this field. #Point 3: And for the next 2 years, my goal would be to become an expert in this role and able to share my knowledge to other new members as the company grows. #Point 4: This is a big step but I know with the support of your company, I’ll be able to achieve this goal. 💡Tips 1: Not only to answer what you can get from this company, also emphasize what is the value you will bring to this company. 💡Tips 2: Showing your interest to this field and will not simply switch job. 💡Find jobs here > https://lnkd.in/gU-NfAT8 😉 #interviewtips
