Data from Press Ganey demonstrates patient safety expectations in healthcare settings are growing. Improving patient experience is not just about satisfaction. CAHPS Surveys measure patient experience. According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), improving patient satisfaction is a different distinction from patient experience. Because satisfaction responses can vary greatly based on patients' expectations, two patients who received the exact same care may have varying satisfaction. Meanwhile, assessing patient experience requires finding out whether something that should have happened in the healthcare setting, did happen. What's an easy way for patients to know for sure that the stethoscope that touches them directly is clean? An aseptic barrier, applied right before auscultation. The DiskCover® System is a visible solution to elevating patient protection from the stethoscope.

[WORLD PATIENT SAFETY DAY] We all contribute to patient safety. Together we must learn and act to create safer care and reduce all forms of healthcare harm. Imagine Citizens Network (ICN) is highlighting this year’s crucial theme: "Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety." Diagnostic errors, which contribute to approximately 10% of patient deaths worldwide, pose significant threats to patient safety, including delays, inaccuracies, and missed diagnoses. At ICN, we believe that the best healthcare solutions emerge from open dialogue and shared experiences. Our strategy focuses on actively engaging with our community and participating in consultation projects to advocate for improved diagnostic practices and patient safety. Building strong doctor-patient relationships is essential for great healthcare, and following up on patient-reported outcomes (PROMS) is a key part of this. PROMS surveys provide invaluable insights directly from patients about their postoperative progress and satisfaction, ensuring they recover well and are happy with the care they received. By integrating PROMS seamlessly into your workflow, SurgicalPerformance makes this process effortless. Regular follow-ups using PROMS fosters trust and communication, leading to improved patient satisfaction and better healthcare outcomes. Embracing PROMS helps prioritise patient recovery and satisfaction, resulting in beautiful doctor-patient relationships.

In healthcare, focusing on the 6 International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) can significantly impact patient safety amidst various objectives in the sector. The Pareto Principle, known as the 80:20 rule, indicates that 80% of outcomes stem from 20% of efforts. Within patient safety, the IPSG exemplify this principle perfectly. Here are the six goals that contribute significantly to patient safety: 1. Accurate Patient Identification 2. Enhancing Communication 3. Safe Use of High-Alert Medications 4. Preventing Surgical Errors 5. Controlling Healthcare-Associated Infections 6. Preventing Patient Falls Though there are innumerable patient safety goals, focusing on these six can lead to a huge difference in promoting patient safety. They represent the 20% of efforts that yield 80% of the results, embodying the Pareto Principle in action. By dedicating our efforts to these critical areas, we can create a safer healthcare environment and significantly improve patient safety and outcomes. #healthcare #patientsafety

🚀 Elevating Patient Care: The Power of Measurable Goals in Care Plans! 🚀 As physicians, our commitment to patient safety and health quality is paramount. One of the most effective ways to ensure we're delivering top-notch care is by crafting care plans with **measurable goals**. Why does this matter? 🔍 **Clarity & Focus**: Clear, measurable objectives ensure both the healthcare team and the patient understand the desired outcomes, fostering better coordination and alignment in treatment efforts. 📈 **Tracking Progress**: Measurable goals provide a benchmark to track progress, making it easier to adjust treatments promptly and effectively. This responsiveness is key to addressing issues before they escalate. 🛡️ **Enhanced Safety**: A well-defined care plan minimizes the risk of errors, as each step is clearly outlined and monitored. This precision reduces variability and enhances overall patient safety. 🤝 **Patient Engagement**: When patients understand their goals and see their progress, they’re more likely to stay engaged and motivated in their treatment, leading to better adherence and outcomes. 💡 **Continuous Improvement**: Regularly evaluating and adjusting care plans based on measurable outcomes fosters a culture of continuous improvement, pushing us all to elevate the standard of care we provide. Let's make measurable goals the gold standard in our care plans and take a proactive step towards enhancing patient safety and health quality. Together, we can make a tangible difference! 🌟 #HealthcareExcellence #PatientSafety #QualityCare #PhysicianLeadership #ContinuousImprovement
