In property, most people only look at the face value of a deal. “I am looking for a higher yield” is something I often hear. My question is, if property is a long game, why do people only look at how much money they will be making now? High yields can be attractive but aren’t always an indicator of a strong investment. Sometimes high yields are found in areas with high tenant turnover or lower capital growth potential.
